PP384 Shades of Pink

Hi peeps!  Hope you're having a great weekend so far!  Joanne is our Paper Players hostess with a fabulous color challenge:

Isn't that an inspiring prompt?!  I recently received the Springtime Foils Specialty DSP through SU's Sale-a-bration promotion...how fun are these papers!  Glossy cardstock embossed with foil in shades of silver and rose gold!  Beautiful!  I played around with both Blend and regular SU markers and they both work well, although the regular markers do take a little longer to try and the ink tends to recede a little.  I used various shades of pink markers as well as a blender pen to create my ombre-toned card today:

I used Pink Pirouette, Powder Pink, Blushing Bride, Melon Mambo and Rose Red for my colors; the mid-tones I used a blender pen to blend some of the darker and lighter shades. I cut a couple of tags, one from Glossy cardstock and one from Champagne Foil and heat-embossed a little "hello" on the glossy.  You do need to be careful, as the embossing WILL flake off, so be gentle when handling it.  I diecut some little petals from a scrap of glimmer paper and added a Glitter Enamel Dot to create a wee little "flower", then attached the tags to my card with some gold cord:

I also rounded the corners of my mat and Melon Mambo card base, just for a little interest!

The DT has created some GORGEOUS pink creations!  Be sure to check them out here:
