CAS Peace

Happy Saturday, peeps!  A quick card today--we have a Veteran's Day breakfast to attend and then our Operation Christmas Child event!  Be sure to thank a Veteran today, too!

I did get a little creating  done last night, using the CAS Colours and Sketches palette, and the CAS(E) This Sketch layout:

And there's no stamping!  At least not on the outside!  I've not used these large dies from Papertrey Ink for a while, so I cut out three layers of diecuts from Thick White cardstock, adhered them together and created this:

I offset the diecut to show the Emerald Envy layer beneath; I added a small strip of Silver Foil at the top and bottom of the white panel:

And just as a little extra, I diecut some vellum sprigs, "tied" them with silver twine and added some silver glitter!  The circular Tranquil Tide layer was embossed with a polka dot embossing folder:

Another to add to my Christmas card stash!

Yesterday at school, Cassidy participated in a Veteran's Day assembly and she and a few of her schoolmates recited the Pledge of Allegiance on stage (sorry the photos are blurry, these were sent by her teacher):

You may be able to see that her skirt and leggings were quite patriotic....red, white and blue!!  And her teacher said she did a great job!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

This die is prominent every year in my Christmas card creations, LeAnne. Your triple layered cut is gorgeous and I adore the little glittered vellum pine boughs! Nice to see you in the CTS gallery again, my friend - it's beautiful - and those leggings rock!

LeAnne, this is beautiful! I love how you used the colours and your layout. The Peace sentiment is gorgeous and the little glitter and vellum twigs tied with the twine is so pretty. Fabulous how you've combined all the colours and elements.
