FMS288 in Lemon Lime

Hi everyone!  It's Thursday, the week is winding down and the weekend ahead!  Yippee!  I love the FMS sketch this week...it's my personal favorite sketch, just turned upside down!

But I have a little disclaimer about this card....I am NOT a fan of this new In Color, Lemon Lime Twist.  Now if you are a fan, that's wonderful....I appreciate that everyone has different preferences!  However, I think SU could have just as easily called this color "Mountain Dew Mixup" or "Post-It Note Puce" and it would have been instantly recognizable!  BUT....I am forcing myself to use it so I can at least show my customers that I am a good sport!  I thought it would look okay with Night of Navy, so I pulled out a simple polka-dotted print from Floral Boutique and the lacy butterfly from Butterfly Basics:

I added a pearl, a little sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes, and some diecuts from the Flourish thinlets dies, and as a last thought, some silver thread....which I now wish I had left off, but it's in the mail, so hopefully the recipient will like it, LOL!

So, do you like Lemon Lime Twist?  I am sure I am in the minority, and I will probably grow to like it in little doses, but I'd love to hear what you think about this bright hue!

So the house addition is moving along quickly!  Tuesday afternoon, my kitchen was framed in!  Here I am, looking out one of the new "windows":

Yesterday the upstairs bedroom walls and roof were dismantled and new walls began to appear:

A crew of three can get a lot done....so when John does the inside plumbing, electrical and drywall work, I'm afraid it won't go quite so quickly!!!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!  And stay tuned--I got some good ideas about Paper Pumpkin storage that you might like and I'll be sharing them with you!

When the new colors came out, I fell in love with LLT immediately. Others, like you, not so much. However, it has been growing on them and hopefully will on you too. I especially love it with black. Mine is still unopened because I am still giving old stuff some love :-) Glad to see your addition is moving right along and glad the rain is staying away. We are off to the eye doctor...ugh, I hate those tests...which one is clearer, 1 or 2, 2 or 3...I'd rather be making a card! Lovely job on yours!

Lovely card, LeAnne! Love that butterfly and the color combo! I am however not a fan of the Mountain Dew Mixup either! I like the other 4 new in colors but this one just seems out of wack! LOL Maybe I will learn to like it the more I see or use it but for now, it's a no go. So happy to see how quickly your renovation is going! Thanks for sharing the day to day updates!! Have a great day! :)

For someone who doesn't like the color, you sure made good use of it. Actually, I wish SU would bring back Barely Banana, my all time fave. The oval makes a great way to highlight the b'fly, and the silver thread is a nice touch. Looking foreward to your P.P. storage ideas.

I'm a firm believer that anything ANYTHING looks better with Night Of Navy! Can you tell it's one of my favorites! Your card is lovely. I agree with Doris, Barely Banana was a beautiful color.

When I saw the new incolors, I made a face when I saw the LLT. Instant dislike! Your card is beautiful! The LLT looks great with Night of Navy. I am not a demonstrator, and I know I won't be getting any, but I love all the other colors. It's fun seeing the pics of your renovation - must be exciting.

Beautiful card, LeAnne! I've not seen the new colors in person but that green does work beautifully with navy. Thanks so much for joining us at Freshly Made Sketches.
