SIP89 Warm Fuzzies CASEing Dawn

Hey peeps!  It's Tuesday and that means Stamp Ink Paper time! Justin has a fun sketch for us, perfect for the little idea I got from another demonstrator, LOL!

Stampers are the best friends in the world!  They share their ideas so freely!  This idea came from Dawn Olchefske, a very talented SU demo, and when I saw her card here (scroll down a few), I knew I wanted to make one of my own:

It just so happened that I needed to send a card to someone who just had cataract surgery...I hope he has a good sense of humor, LOL!  Of course, the chicken is from the Hey, Chick set and the glasses are from Day at the Beach!  It was a little challenging cutting them out....even more so to pop them up on wee little pieces of dimensionals, but in the end, it was worth it!

The sentiment is from a Hero Arts set, it has such great sentiments, I keep it on my desk all the time!  It just seemed to fit this crazy chicken!

I hope you can play along with our sketch this week....it's a great one with lots of room for interpretation, and the DT did an awesome job of it as well!  Check them all out HERE!

Several weeks ago, Cassidy had some lessons on soil and plants, and her class planted beans in a little cup.  I stuck hers on my window sill ledge, watered it occasionally, and despite the fact that it is root-bound, it did grown and actually has a little bean pod on it!

When I showed her the pod, she gave me a look of consternation and said, "Grammy, what am I going to do?  I don't LIKE lima beans!"  LOL!  I don't think she'll have too many to eat from this wee little pod:

Thanks for popping in today!

Too bad SU didn't make framelits for that stamp set. So many fun items that we have to fussy cut. You did a great job and it's a cute card. Love the bean pod and Cassidy's remark.

Oh this card cracks me up, LeAnne! Love those glasses! Fabulous color combo too. Tell Cassidy she can ship her lima beans to me!

This card is amazing LeAnne! I just love it! I am inspired by Dawn all the time! Cassidy looks so proud of her bean (even if she doesn't want to eat it) - I really think it's important for kids to know where their food comes from. ~chris
