HS 231, CCMC392 and INKspire Me 235 Shabby Valentine

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  I have one more Valentine for you....our time is winding down, it will be here before we know it!  I chose to do a shabby chic one, after seeing this stunning creation from Beth Beard on Pinterest!  It just happens to fulfill the challenges from IN(K)spire Me and Hand Stamped Sentiments:

And it's also a go for the Create With Connie and Mary challenge this week too (thanks, Joanne)!!

CCMC392

And here we go:

I used papers from Love Blossoms, distressing them with a sponge dauber and Chocolate Chip ink; a white doily; some Rose Red seam binding that I "shabbied" up; a Blushing Bride glimmer paper heart, and a banner from Endless Thanks, stamped in Rose Red.  I isolated the word "love" from a Good Greetings sentiment with my Rose Red marker to stamp in the center, and added a couple of stamped hearts from last year's Paper Pumpkin Valentine set.  The final addition was a couple of vellum hearts; I embossed a scrap of vellum with the Happy Hearts embossing folder, then fussy-cut them out, adhered them behind the banner and added pearls.

I used another sentiment from Good Greetings on the inside and added a couple more hearts!  Thanks for visiting today!

We had a bit more snow yesterday than I anticipated and although it didn't really stick on the paved surfaces, Cassidy insisted on shoveling....she didn't even want to go sledding (so I did!!!).

She did make a snow angel:

and gave up the sled in favor of her bum!

Enjoy your day!

Love this shabby chic-collage card - all frills, hearts and glimmer! You should link up to Connie & Mary today too as we have the same colours this week - just time to squeeze in a link if you're quick! Love that you went sledding - that's what keeps you young! Looks like fun in the snow - we have a week off school for half-term next week and the kids would so love some snow to play in!

Wowza, your Valentine is so filled with charm and shabby (my most favorite style of all time) details that make me smile. The bounty of textured seam binding is DEE LISH. It's super scrumptious and yummy. A big thanks to linking up with us at Hand Stamped Sentiments. Smiles, Elizabeth
