Paper Players 242

DSCF9460

Hi everyone!  It’s Sunday, and that means another challenge from the Paper Players!  This week Ann is our lovely hostess and she has an awesome sketch for us!  This is pretty close to my favorite layout, so I had lots of fun with this one!

Last week I seemed to be stuck on vintage images, so I opted for a bright, funky and fun card for today, using the soon-to-be-retired Yippee Skippee along with the cool photopolymer set, Epic Alphabet:

If you haven’t had enough coffee today, this one will wake you up for sure!  I am trying to use up my stash of DSP too…this one happens to be from the Sweet Taffy line, along with Park Lane and Maritime for the banners.  I stamped and cut out some elements from the Epic Alphabet for a little extra ooomph and decorated them with some Candy Dots as well.  The upper portion of my Tempting Turquoise card was embossed with the Zig Zag EF:

And I almost forgot the sentiment at the bottom….this one’s from A Dozen Thoughts to finish it off!

And since I needed another thank you card, I made another one (told you I liked this sketch!)….this one used Chalk Talk and an isolated word from Good Greetings along with some Lullaby DSP, Gold Satin ribbon and a few scraps:

I hope you’ll play along with the Players this week!  I always enjoy seeing what you stampy, crafty folks out there come up with!  Here’s what the DT did as well:

John has a terrible cold and was gargling in the bathroom; Cassidy was quite intrigued and wanted him to teach her how to do it:

She just about got it, too!

Enjoy your day!

Two very awesome cards, LeAnne! The bright colors on the first one just make the viewer happy and I just love the patterns on the second card.

Love these, LeAnne! The first one really will brighten your day, it did mine! Love your combination of images and DSP. The soft one is so soft and pretty. Nice use of those colors too…calming! :)

Both gorgeous LeAnne, although I am rather partial to the brights! Love this card - so much going on in terms of colour, pattern and texture. A visual feast!

Your card is perfect for this time of year - so bright and cheerful! I love all of your embellishments and textures. Super cute! Then you showed us how the sketch could be applied all year round and it is a beautiful card as well. Love them both!!

LeAnne, these are both beauties, but you know I am partial to the brights! So many fun patterns and embellishments! It would make anyone happier to receive this fiesta of color! Cassidy is just too cute for words! XX

A fiesta of color! Claire called it--that's exactly what this bright and happy card is. So much fun. Love the texture, colors and the fussy-cutting! The second one is as soft and pretty as the first one is bright and fun!

Ah LeAnne I see you were like me and made two cards with the same sketch! I love them both. The first card is so bright and happy, and the second subtle and sweet. I can imagine all the coughing and sputtering that came along with the gargling lesson, lol!

LeAnne, I love the bright colors and the way you managed to get the patterns going both vertically and horizontally. The little touches like the stars are a perfect way to finish off the card. Fabulous
