Happy Sunday, everyone! The Paper Players are back! We have new designers added to our team as well as new Guest Designers, so we are excited to start 2015! Anne Marie is back from her little break and she has a theme challenge for us to help us clean out our craft areas:
I love to recycle things, and I have had this little tag sitting in my scrappy pile for, oh, a couple of years probably!! It was from something DH got, I believe:
I recycled it into a tag for one of the Petite Café bags, because I always am in need of masculine gifty things:
I covered the bag front with some of the new, very cool Adventure Bound DSP from the new Occasions mini, and then I began to alter the tag a bit:
I traced the tag on Crumb Cake cardstock and stamped it with the retired background stamp, Canvas, then used Amazing Birthday to stamp the other elements in Mossy Meadow and Early Espresso. I even used the leather string from the tag to tie my bag together!
So, what can you recycle or reuse for your project this week? We can’t wait to see! Check out what the other designers created as well:
The “don’t take my picture” look!
Enjoy your day!

What a fabulous tag/bag, LeAnne! I love how you altered the tag. It looks so seamless - one would never have known that it was a tag for a piece of clothing. I will have to try and play along this week as I do have a little dish on my desk that I put potential "repurpose/recycle" items into for crafting. Hope you have a wonderful week!
Love how these bags look! That DSP is the perfect backdrop for the vintage tags! You are terrific doing the vintage-y stuff!
I love repurposing and recycling bits and bobs into new creations. And I love what you did with this tag and tie. Great challenge. May have to check it out!
Your tag is perfect for a gift bag! I really love the texture and masculine feel to it. I have to get that new DSP! It really looks amazing on your bag.
oh my goodness LeAnne, this is AMAZING. I just love the rustic feel of your project. Love Cassidy's expression - I get that from Patrick a lot lately :)
This is awesome, LeAnne! I love the tag to start with but your alterations are fantastic. Love the leather tie too and the DSP really makes the whole thing amazing!
I can tell Cassidy is working on that face…there's a smile back there!
Awesome recycled tag my friend - I would never have guessed! Love it with the altered bag too - that paper stack is now on my wish list lol! So great for a man gift too - pretty, without being girly - lovely!
fabulous project! Love the masculine feel and how you recycled that fabulous tag! Hoping I can find time to play along this week!
Happy New Year!

Such a great idea to re-purpose something that you received for free! I often look at clothing tags and think how neat they are, but I never considered altering them the way you have here...love your idea! And don't we all need masculine gift ideas at the ready? Love your project!
Love, love, love how you used this tag, LeAnne. Such a wonderful, vintage-look, masculine project. It's great working on a DT with you again :)
Wow! I LOVE this masculine altered tag and bag, LeAnne! I always need masculine things around the Schach house...and you have inspired me to try to make a few altered items, too. And I LOVE the look on Cassidy's face! lol
