FMS171 and CCMC340

DSCF7741

Happy Saturday, peeps!  I have a couple cards for you today!  Both use this week’s Freshly Made Sketches sketch from Rita:

The first is a Valentine card using the stamps from January’s Paper Pumpkin along with some glimmer paper, sequins and rhinestones!

I think these sweet little heart images and sentiments are just darling!

My next one was inspired by Jen Timko’s card shown here.  I just loved it!  I started with the colors from Create with Connie & Mary for this week:

CCMC340

and using a butterfly from Papillion Potpourri for a sympathy card:

I also used Gorgeous Grunge to stamp some additional elements; it’s hard to see here, but the white circle is SU’s canvas, on which I stamped some images in Sahara Sand and Basic Gray:

The butterfly was colored with Lost Lagoon ink and a blender pen; the seam binding is Soft Sky.  Be sure to come back tomorrow for a new Paper Player’s challenge!

I did finish the doll sweater I began last week for Cassidy’s doll Claire; it is definitely not perfect, and I am still working on figuring out what the different types of yarn are, what size needles to use to get the right gauge, etc., etc., so although the final product was a little too big, it is easy for Cassidy to get it on and off her doll and it was challenging enough for me that I actually learned a few new techniques!  So here is Cassidy showing the sweater, along with the boots that she is using for accessorizing:

And here is Claire, modeling it with a scarf already in her wardrobe!!:

Thanks for visiting us today!

Both cards are lovely, I especially love that you used a butterfly on the sympathy card. Such a nice colour combo too. Always good to have sympathy cards in the stash! I love the little sweater, wow! I'll be she was super excited about that!

These cards are fabulous, LeAnne! I especially love the Valentine's Day card - the hearts are just darling! The sympathy card is also beautiful with that canvas circle with images subtly stamped on it. You've given me ideas on how to use the canvas I've had for two years (I rec'd samples of it when I attended a shoebox swap). Hope you have a great weekend - stay warm! I plan to stay in my craft room and create the day away as yesterday was a very productive day for me. Here's hoping today is more of the same. :)

Wow 2 beautiful cards today LeAnne, and they're so different from each other. I love all the hearts is the first one. Then I love the colour combo and that gorgeous ribbon treatment in the second one. It's a soft and pretty sympathy card. I'm so glad you shared these. My card for the FMS was a Valentine one too;)
Look at the doll sporting her new sweater. You did a great job on it. Looks like Cassidy is very happy with it.

Great card LeAnne - but the knitting impresses me more today - what a well-dressed Claire doll, I'm sure Cassidy was thrilled!

That sweater is adorable, and looks so cute on the doll. Reminds me of playing dolls when I was little. One of our neighbors made me a ton of Barbie clothes, I still have them.Fun times!

Great cards,too!
