Paper Players 205

Hi everyone!  As you read this, I am on my way home from convention, tired but happy!   Sandy is our hostess today with a clean and simple monochromatic challenge:

I was so happy to see this challenge, because it fit perfectly for this card I made recently, and I made a smaller version of it for some of my convention swaps!  I borrowed an idea I saw on Erica Cerwin's blog...but mine uses the Little Letters Framelits and the cupcake from Sweet Stuff:

I used a piece of DSP to run behind my letters, which were cut from a circle of Melon Mambo, and I colored my cupcake with Pink Pirouette and Melon Mambo, then added some "icing" of Dazzling Diamonds glitter  Yum is right!

Now, I hope you'll go visit my other friends at the Paper Players to see what monochromatic CAS creations they have come up with!  And share your creation with us as well!

LOVE this card, LeAnne and it's even better in person. Running the DSP behind the letters is such a fun and trendy look! It was so much fun hanging out with you at convention...can't wait to do it again, lol!

I love the monochromatic cards and yours is great! It also has that ombre feel going on. Did you use the SU letter dies to cut out the YUM? I'm wondering if I need those guys :)

Very clever! Your spacing with the letters is spot on and I love the coordinating strip of patterned that anchors the design.

Love this card LeAnne - it does indeed look good enough to eat! Loving the use of the negative space too. I don't have these framelits (yet - although with all those Holiday sneak peeks from Convention they might have to wait awhile!!) Today I took receipt of my new e-cutter...looking forward to experimenting with that.
