Paper Players 196

DSCF3028

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Hope you’re having a great weekend so far!  Ann is our fabulous hostess today at the Paper Players, and she has a delightful clean and simple challenge for us today:

I pulled out a floral image from Papertrey Ink that hadn’t been used for a while and inked it up in Old Olive and Strawberry Slush for my one-layer card today:

I did add an extra little bit of shading with a blender pen and ink, as well as some light speckles of Pink Pirouette and a couple little sequins.  I have to admit, making a single layer card takes me back to my first foray into stamping…the excitement of creating something with just a stamp, paper and ink!  I hope you’ll catch the excitement and make a clean and simple floral creation and share it with us this week!  And be sure to check out the other designers creations as well:

We experimented with finger painting this week, although we started out with a paintbrush:

She loved mixing the colors….and then she really got into it:

and then it turned into ARM painting….and soon after, we had to take a bath!

Enjoy your day!

Gorgeous one layer card! I love all the white.
Cassidy looks like she enjoyed her painting. Next time use chocolate pudding and she can eat the mess.

Isn't it amazing how a few speckles can make a card pop! Not to be compared to arm painting, tho ;)

So beautiful LeAnne! I love the simplicity of this and the beautiful colours you chose. The little extras really add to the overall design as well.
I loved finger painting as a child - sure looks like she enjoyed it! You are going to have an artist on your hands!

SUCH a lovely card. You make me want to break out some stamps and ink and give it a try. And little Cassidy is growing up so quickly! Such a darling grandgirl you have. I love seeing her artistic side! :)

Cheers!

Well, that's getting into it isn't it Cassidy? Quite the little artist there;) Good thing it all washes off right Grammy?
I like your card LeAnne. Great job on the one layer and these pretty flowers. I love the scattered sequins. So pretty.

Such pretty flowers, LeAnne! And they should call that stuff body paint instead of finger paint!

What a gorgeous one layer card, LeAnne! That flower image is just beautiful, and I like the spritzing and sequins, too. I see Cassidy was feeling artistic, too!

Gorgeous, LeAnne. This set is perfect for a one layer card. Your addition of the splashes and sequins makes you forget that it is one layer. Fabulous!
