KJ170–Just For Her

DSCF2643-001

Good morning and happy Thursday to everyone!  The Kraft Journal has a Just For Her challenge this week; you are required to make a card for “her” and it doesn’t have to be a Mother’s Day card!  I needed a bridal shower card for a fellow TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) gal; we had a kitchen shower for her and I knew just the stamps I wanted to use:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Kitchen Shower Card Stampin

I knew I wanted to use as many of the images from this fun little Vintage Kitchen set from TPC, and I couldn’t figure out what sketch to use, so I just stamped them, cut them out and popped them up on a piece of DP on which I stamped a few country/kitcheny/vintagey images!  Here are a couple closer views:

I added some twine, a burlap banner and a button, mounted it on some Crumb Cake cardstock and put it on a Naturals Ivory card base.  It’s a fairly large card, so I made my own envelope with the punch board.  Sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  Aren’t these cute?  I wanted to give her some recipe cards but I ran out of time….maybe later!

I bought a little tub of yard sale matchbox toys for my nephews to play with when they come to visit, and they were a hit with Cassidy:

Even to the point of giving a couple of them a car wash in the birdbath:

Enjoy your day!

That's so cute, LeAnne. I love those vintage kitchen stamps. Perfect for the shower. The burlap adds just the right touch. I'm sure Cassidy will enjoy those cars as much as the boys! She has quite the imagination!

It's so wonderful to see Cassidy using her imagination. She is going to create beautiful cards someday (soon)! So much better than watching TV all day or being addicted to an iPad. My 2 youngest grandchildren get lots of outdoor play, sports and music lessons after school. They each have an iPad, but my daughter wisely limits their use. They communicate well with adults, as well as kids their own age and are building healthy bodies. I sense that same spark of curiosity in Cassidy!

Matchbox cars are so much fun to play with - for girls too. So cute - the car wash in the bird bath.
These kitchen images you've use on your card today are wonderful and I especially like the images you stamped onto the DP. Perfect shower card.
