Merry Monday 44

DSCF1313

Happy Monday, peeps!  I told you last week that it was the last Merry Monday of the year, but the Merry Makers decided to do a final two-week challenge!  You can find out all the details on Lesley’s Always Playing with Paper blog!!!  Just pick out a sketch that you like from the past Merry Monday sketches (there is a link to all the sketches on her blog) and play along!  I chose sketch #4 because I wanted something quick and easy, especially since my Christmas preparations are gearing up:

I cheated a tiny little bit on the sentiment placement, because my focal image IS my sentiment:

MM44-LeAnne

One of my sweet stamping friends gave me this gorgeous glittered 12x12 paper a couple of years ago…yes, YEARS ago, so I decided to let it do all the work on this card, and made my sentiment from Delightful Dozen the focal point:

I did stamp a couple of holly images from the stamp set that I used yesterday, Winter is Calling, since it was still on my desk and it matched the paper a bit.  I used a base of Bravo Burgundy and added a red Glimmer paper scallop around the circle.  This card was so easy!!!  I wish I had more of this paper!

Now it’s your turn to play along at the Merry Monday sketches….time is running out, so here’s a chance to get another card done for your stash!  Hope to see you there---be sure to check out the others’ cards as well…there are some AMAZING creations this week!

My SIL had an older baby swing in her living room when we went to visit, and Cassidy promptly nestled her baby doll and Lambie in it and gave it a workout!  She just loved it!

Hi LeAnne! Trying again to post a comment here - we'll see what happens! Just wanted to say that maybe you can find a used baby swing at a thrift shop for Miss Cassidy to have as a toy! lol!

WOW! That dsp is fabulous and so is that greeting! I love the fonts!
Miss Cassidy looks so proud of herself - she's growing into such a caring little girl, and you all must be so proud of her :) I've loved watching her grow up through the years so far! What a cutie :)
