JUGS167 & US189

DSCF1580

I thought maybe stamping would help me feel better today….it didn’t.  I thought maybe putting up our Christmas tree would help me feel better today…..it didn’t.  I just had to realize that this Christmas was just not going to be the same for many, many people…..but God is still in control.  I don’t understand it, but I have faith.

I needed some get well cards, and I saw a cheerful color combo at Just Us Girls, where I haven’t played in a looooong time!  Here it is:

I pulled out some pretty papers from my stash and a floral stamp and went to work on this CAS card:

I am still learning how to use this PTI stamp; I can’t quite get it lined up, but it’s close enough!  I used Pink Pirouette,  Regal Rose and Melon Mambo for the florals along with Lucky Limeade for the stems.  I did some sponging around the die and also gave it a little “sprinkle” with my spritzer tool!  Finally,  I used some pretty baker’s twine as my ribbon!

This uses my favorite layout, which also happened to be the sketch from Unscripted Sketches, flipped on its side:

Thanks for visiting today!  Any questions….I’m only an email away!

Beautiful card! Reminds me of Spring or new life. I am working on that very same sketch right now and mine does NOT look this great.

I know how you feel Leanne. As a parent who has a 1st and 3rd grader and who volunteers in the school myself, I don't understand why. I am praying for those families and will continue to do so.

I just love your bright and cheery card! This flower stamp is beautiful and the colors are just dreamy. Wonderful use of this sketch too. I'll have to give this one a try sometime.

Such a pretty card! Yesterday's news has me feeling sad as well - there are no words for this. My kiddos will get extra hugs though...
Hugs,
Shanna

Hi LeAnne...I've been following your blog for quite a long time and I absolutely love all you do! This card is no exception! It's GORGEOUS and I can't even tell that it's not lined up!! :0) I am so sorry you're not feeling up to par but please know that I am out here looking forward every post you share. I don't always get a chance to comment and I'm sorry for that. As I read your post today I started to cry. I don't want you to be sad and I want you to know that I care. There have been some horrible things going on in our world lately and I'm sure that has pushed you down as well. Please keep posting and sharing and know that I am looking forward to it all, good and bad. I am so sorry for the loss of your friend's husband and I hope the pain goes away soon. Hugs and love!

This card is lovely, and such a beautiful color combination. I have been struggling, too, I can't seem to focus on anything. My husband is a pricipal and I am a teacher, and my nephew and his family live in Newtown, so it has hit hard on many levels.

This is just the sort of bright beauty we need at a mournful time like this. The pink and the green are like a breath of fresh spring air.

Beautiful, soft and oh so pretty! Love the colors that you chose. The green really does work well with this vibrant pink.

So happy that you found time during this busy holiday season to play along with our Unscripted Sketch.

Best wishes for a happy holiday season :)
