Freshly Made Sketches 58

DSCF0131

It’s Wednesday---wow, halfway through the week already.  Narelle has a wonderful sketch for us today…I just LOVE it:

I almost forgot that I was supposed to be doing a clean and fresh card; I hope the team doesn’t kick me to the curb with my sponging on this fall card:

FMS58-LeAnne

I rarely use Soft Suede, but I liked how this image looked stamped in it on some Basic Grey paper.  I added a couple of elements from another fall set (oh boy, do I have a LOT of fall sets….and I am trying to use them all!) and stamped the leaf & acorn border down the edge as well as on the 7/8” twill ribbon.  The center of the circular element features a felt flower and Antique Brad:

I can’t wait to see how you interpret this sketch….it’s one I will use often, I think!  Be sure to flutter over to the Freshly Made Sketches blog to see what the other designers created this week!

Any season is popsicle season!

This is so perfect, LeAnne! I love how you used the border stamp on the card and on the twill ribbon. And I really love the orange with the pumpkin images. Don't apologize for the sponging; the card wouldn't be as great without it!

Oh I love your card LeAnne and using the ribbon as the fishtail banners is genius. Why didn't I think of that. Can't wait to play along with you girls on that great sketch.

So pretty LeAnne. The stamping down the side and on the twill ribbon is fantastic! Boy Cassidy is growing up, what a big girl!

Hey LeAnne, I love that sketch too and your card is extraordinary. I love everything about it. I have gotten rid of almost everything that isn't Stampin' UP! but you make me regret it. Have a great day. Hugs, Bev

This is beautiful - perfect stamping, shading and colors! And I love the words autumnal equinox - just thought I'd throw that out there because I do! Looks like Lamby is waiting to catch any drips :)

I love the color combo, I will have to try this sketch, very different from what I usually do.

Sure is........(about the popsicles that is)
Such a warm Fall card LeAnne. I love the stamping on the twill. Your circular element is gorgeous. I really like the brad in the center and the quote on the outside circle.

Without the awesome sponging I'd never get to ooh and aah over that pumpkin image that looks like it was stamped on fabric! What a great way to celebrate the autumnal equinox!

I love this beautiful card LeAnne (sponging and all). So many gorgeous details to look at and I love how you've stamped on the ribbon. I laughed when I read your comments about the sponging LeAnne - I need to remind myself to read the challenge instructions carefully as I have a habit of sponging and distressing on a CAS one - happens every time.
