Color Throwdown 125 and SSSC100

DSCF6232

Happy Wednesday to everyone!  If you missed the drawing for all the prizes from the CTD team yesterday, check out the CTD blog for all the details!  Now, on to this week’s colors!  Barbara is our hostess and she has chosen these beautiful, soft colors:

swatch 125

I pulled out some Basic Grey Capella and Melissa Frances Home for the Holidays DPs and my new SU set, Nature Walk to make this card.  LOVE that set!  This card will be a thank you for someone who was very sweet to me!  So here we go:

I also used Karen’s Sweet Sunday Sketch, turned on its side:

SSSC100

A few detail shots:

Love the vintage look of these images!  The sentiment is from Word Play, stamped in Soft Suede.  I also stamped the bee in White Shimmer paint, which gives it a nice little subdued glimmer.  Some stitching, a ruffle-y seam binding, a glittered scalloped edge, a felt heart and some pearl embellishments finish it off.  The glitter looks rather raspberry here in this picture----it’s a bit more subdued IRL!

Now, let’s see what you can create with these colors!  Submit your creation via Inlinkz over at the CTD blog; meanwhile, you can check out all the designers’ creations for inspiration:

 DSCF6229

  • Stamps:  Nature Walk, Word Play
  • Paper:  Crumb Cake, Blushing Bride, Capella DP, Basic Grey; Home for the Holidays DP, Melissa Frances
  • Ink:  Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Regal Rose
  • Acc:  Nesties, Seam Binding, Sewing Machine, Pearls, Button & Thread, Moda Felt, Scallop Ribbon Punch, MS Glitter, White Shimmer Paint, Distresser

Thanks for visiting today!

What a legacy you are making for Cassidy. Her pictures are fantastic. I look forward to seeing each new adorable face. I was born during WWII, there is only one picture of me as a baby. You are making her a truly priceless gift. I also enjoy all of your projects/samples. Thank you for sharing.
