SC300 & F4A32

DSCF4062

Yippee!  It’s October, one of my favorite months of the year!    On the first day of each month, my first grade teacher would draw a beautiful picture on our front chalkboard and color it with chalks.  Then she would read us a poem about the season or month.  Later on in my life, I actually memorized October’s  poem, October’s Bright Blue Weather.  I wish I had appreciated her talent and her love for her students sooner…..but in first grade, you’re more concerned about lunch & recess!

Okay, so today’s card is for two SCS challenges, the sketch challenge for Wednesday and the Free for All today, which is “Hole in One”--to make a hole or some sort of window on your card.

I am IN LOVE with Max & Whiskers DP from Basic Grey, I just don’t get to play with it enough!  I thought these muted colors would be perfect for my pumpkin from Unity’s Fall for You, which was also stamped on the BG paper, then shaded with a blender pen & ink:

The frame and the pumpkin are popped up on LOTS of dimensionals;  I added a tiny little sentiment from PTI’s Mixed Messages; there are leaves from a clear autumn set that were stamped in Versamark on the background paper and highlighted with pastels; the ribbon is from MM and the buttons are SU!  I used the punchout from my window on the front for my inside sentiment, which is also part of the Unity set:

Thanks for visiting today!  I’ll be in Baltimore tomorrow for SU’s Regionals, and looking forward to meeting some blog friends, stamping and having a great time!  Now for a not-too-clear picture of my granddaughter (which is what happens to your lens when you leave it in your messy purse!):
