Happy Birthday, Bill

DSCF6048

Bill is my father-in-law.

Bill is a boater.

Bill loves my cards.....but I only have one boat stamp and I have already used it on several Bill cards.  What to do?

DSCF6052-1

I pulled out some textured papers I had, some vellum and some sea-faring images and used the Saturday Sketch #128 from Stamping 411:

ssc128

I wish I had positioned the images a little bit differently on the vellum, but I threw this together before a major covered dish supper event I had at church yesterday, so there was not much time to play around!  The colors are not my favorites either, but I do like the sketch and will probably try to do another one with it again soon!  I think he'll like it anyway.....

Thanks for visiting today!  If you have any questions about stamps or paper, just shoot me an email!

LeAnne, you are being too hard on yourself - this card is great! CAS style, the colors lend themselves to the images without being too feminine and the theme suits your recipient! I bet he will love it!
Glad you liked the sketch, too and that you played this week!

Another fabulous masculine card! You rock! I have trouble with male cards.
Thanks for your comment on my blog :) To answer your question, Dallas is a "golden doodle' or a cross between a golden retriever and a standard poodle. Isn't he cute?

LOOOOOOVE IT! The stamping on the vellum and the different images behind it are a gorgeous effect, and I really like that you used some non-traditional colors for a seafaring card. Fab!
