Diva Coffee Break Designs #149

This week the Divas are challenged with a lovely sketch!  There are so many possibilities with this one!  I also chose to use the colors from Stacey's Curtain Call Color Challenge Act 6:

Recently at my upline's, I saw a card using the Friendly Words wheel, stamped with Versamark, heat embossed with clear embossing powder and sponged with ink.  I loved it!  So I decided to use that technique for my card today:

After embossing the Very Vanilla panel, I sponged the center portion with Dusty Durango ink, then the edges with Ruby Red.  I had one little piece of twill left in my stash, so I twisted it for a little different effect, added a Playground button and some leaves from Falling Leaves.  My So Saffron panels was stamped with the Cornelli Lace jumbo wheel; sentiment is from All Holidays.  This is for a friend's birthday, so the inside sports a sentiment from On Your Birthday:

Thanks for stopping by!  And check out what all the other Divas have done with this sketch at the Diva Coffee Break Designs blog!  Feel free to post your creation with Mr Linky--we would love to have you play with us!

  1. Love your card, LeAnne! The new embossed and sponged wheel image is beautiful and the twisted twill...genious! Thanks so much for playing along in the Curtain Call this week:)

  2. LeAnne!!!! This is some mighty and DROP DEAD GORGEOUS stampin', my friend! {Seriously, I'm drooling!} You are on such a roll! Apparently, having a little headache and too much to do is good for your craftin'! Hee Hee This is some spectacular work, doll! Wahoo!

  3. I really love that emboss resist treatment with the wheel. You combined the two challenges so well. I love this card.

  4. Wow Leanne! I love this. Great use of the Twill Tape. Now you're making me want to play in both of these challenges!

  5. Love how you used the double scallops and the text resist!

  6. Love the technique you used for this card, and the sponging, oh, lala,
    absolutely lovely

  7. How awesome!! I just LOVE that twisted twill, what a unique look!! Great technique and colors too!

  8. WOW!! This is absolutely beautiful!!

  9. Beautiful card, LeAnne! Your classic designs ROCK!

  10. OMGosh, this is gorgeous!! LOVE the colors & your layout, LeAnn! Just FABULOUS!!! :)

  11. LeAnne what a super card for a Fall birthday! I just got his set :)

  12. LEANNE!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS is my all time favorite and I want to make it. At first glance, I thought the button was a butterscotch lifesaver! Wouldn't that be a good idea for a card? Think of the aroma!!!!!!!!

PLEASE advise me: Is that stamp somewhere in my SU catalog?

And I want to order from the SU catalog. Do I do that from here or in an email to you?

  13. LeAnne! This may sound a little weird, but I can NOT see your card, it is gone! And by the comments everyone left, I want to see it! Hope your card decides to come back soon!

  14. Your card is so great.
In German: Du hast die Farben so schön verwendet. Der Hintergrund ist schön und auch die ausgeschnittenen Blätter. Auch wie Du den Knopf verwendet hast gefällt mir sehr gut.

  15. WOW! LeAnne, this is GORGEOUS girl! Somehow I missed it when you posted it, but just saw it on Nancy's iPicks! Congratulations on another beautiful creation! You inspire me! Have FUN in Philly!

Thanks so much for your comments! I love hearing from you! If you have a question, please be sure to include an email address so I can respond to you quickly!
