Lovely Trees

DSCF4577

I have two tree-related cards today--just by chance!  The first one uses my new (to me) Thoughts and Prayers and the new In Color, Rich Razzleberry.  Can you tell I like this color?  Tell me what you think:

DSCF4576

I know, it's pretty plain and simple, but that's just me!  The background was stamped in Versamark with the vine from Fresh Cuts; the sentiment is from Define Your Life.  The embellishments are satin ribbon from SU and some non-SU pearls on the branches and the sentiment.  A small mat of Basic Gray is behind the tree.  Easy!

My next one is a "stepped-up" version of one we did at my latest SU workshop:

DSCF4595

The workshop card did not use the Sanded background or the ribbon treatment, but they really enjoyed using the Poppin' Pastels method to color their trees.  They stamped the tree image in Versamark, then colored them in with the pastels.   I think this set is perfect for masculine or sympathy cards, for which it is sometimes difficult to find images !

Any questions, give me a holler....I want to do some stamping today!  And I need to get off the computer if I want to do that! TFL and have a great Saturday!

Both are lovely, LeAnne! I love the color and pearls on the first one, and the sanded bg looks great with the trees.

I love both the card and tree stamps. The first is such a gorgeous tree that the card doesn't need much to it. I NEVER would've thought to do a razzleberry tree, but it's perfect!

HELP requested!!!! Hi LeAnne - I don't see an e-mail addy for you, so I'm going to ask a question here on your tutorial. It's the black and white tutorial where you cut a piece out of the cardstock to "save" paper and cut down on layers. You indicating using a SU cutter. What would you be referring to here? I love your blog site and all of your creations. I hope you see this. THANKS!

I'm loving the new sets and what you are creating, too! :o)
