Happy Saturday, everyone!  A quick CAS card today using the (CAS)e This Sketch sketch from this week:

Here we go:

LeAnne Pugliese weeInklings Embedded Hello Flower Patch

I had this Schoolhouse DSP on my desk from yesterday’s project along with a Watermelon Wonder flower that I had previously diecut using the Flower Fair dies, and the sketch seemed a perfect fit for it!  I embossed a flower on it using white embossing powder, and I had been wanting to do one of the embedded diecuts for a long time, so I finally used my Greetings thinlets to try out this fun technique!

I rarely add real buttons to my cards, but I felt like this flower needed a pretty center, so I added Very Vintage Boutique button and a little line of dots stamped from the Friendly Wishes set, and it was done!

Thanks for visiting and be sure to come back tomorrow for a new Paper Players challenge!

On Thursday, John had a little baby sparrow flying around the ceiling of his garage for almost the entire day.  It just could not figure out how to fly out the doors!  When he opened the garage door yesterday morning, it was so exhausted, it was sitting on the floor!  He picked it up and took it outside, but Cassidy and I got a look at it before he gently placed it in the flower bed.  Later on, it was gone, so I hope he got his strength back and flew away!

Happy Friday, peeps!  Yay, it’s the weekend…do you have some fun stuff planned?  I hope to do some cleaning up…and stamping!  I have one more thank you card, this time using the sketch from Create with Connie & Mary:

CCMC367

and the new, uber-cute set, You’re Sublime:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings You're Sublime Stampin Up

This looks a tad bit busy, but I thought with all the colors of the flowers in the wheelbarrow, I could get away with the plaid from Farmers Market and the stripes from Sweet Lil’ Things!  I stamped the image in Black Stazon on our watercolor paper and colored them with an aquapainter:

DSCF1215

I added a little sparkle to the centers; some “grass” to ground it, a couple of Watermelon Wonder banners and a little Pear Pizzazz bow!  It’s all on a Very Vanilla card base!  Thanks for visiting today!

More dirt removal:

This was on the other side of our porch….John put a conduit under the porch in which to hold the wiring….and yes, he had to uproot almost my entire flower bed.  It was mostly mint, because the builders chose that location to dump all the stones from when my house was built!!!  So it’s almost impossible to plant anything there.   But anyone who has had mint seed in the garden knows that it takes NO TIME at all for it to come back!  So I’m not concerned!  Anyway, Cassidy had fun for about three shovelsful, and then she was done!!!  But she “helped”!

Happy Thursday, peeps!  Another thank you card….almost through my list…this one incorporates the Kraft Journal’s Back to School challenge; the By The Numbers challenge at Retro Rubber:

RRCB20

and the Freshly Made Sketches sketch:

I have to give a nod to my stampin’ pal Linda Callahan, as she inspired me by her card here!!  I took a little different tack with my back-to-school theme!

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Something to Say Thank You Stampin Up

I used some diecut letters and numbers that I received long, long ago from another Linda, and using dsp from Schoolhouse, I stamped the sentiment from Something to Say in Smoky Slate ink.  I also used a ruler embossing folder that I am embarrassed to say, have maybe used once, but it seemed appropriate for the “numbers” challenge!  Finally, some denim ribbon and three gold stars finished it off!

DSCF1195

And it is in the mail!

John is tired of losing electricity out here in the country, and finally bought a generator, so there has been lots of digging and dismantling as he wires it up to the house.  Of course, Cassidy wants to “help”!  Here, she is stacking up the bricks as John takes them out of the patio:

We all thought the final effect looked like a zipper!

More later…..today, we’re off to the Herr’s Potato Chip Factor Tour!  Enjoy your day!

Just a quick post today; I have a simple card using the sketch from Can You Case It:

CYCI#80
as well as the ColourQ colors:

and here we go:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings ColourQ302 Thanks

I punched squares of So Saffron, Hello Honey and Peach Parfait, then embossed them  in White embossing powder with various stamps: Cottage Greetings, Flower Patch and Paisley background stamp.  Then I colored them in a little with my aquapainter, added a butterfly from Papillion Potpourri, embossed on vellum, a candy dot and a diecut thank you from the Greetings Thinlets.

And the Stamp, Ink Paper team has a Designer’s Choice challenge this week, so I am entering this as well!  Thanks for popping by today!

TSOT230

DSCF1134
Happy Tuesday, everyone!  It’s time for another Try Stampin’ On Tuesday challenge and we have a fun one today:

Isn’t that photo fun?  You can use it as the inspiration, or the sketch, or both!  I have to admit that this is a bit of a CASE from Smilin’ Stef; I chose her card here as my winner for last week’s Paper Players, because it was just so cute!!!  So when I saw the inspiration photo, I thought it would be fun to use the little girl from the same Artistic Outpost set (Frosty and Friends), so here we go:
LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings TSOT 230 Artistic Outpost Vintage Christmas
My card base is Pool Party, and I used some older Cosmo Cricket Jolly by Golly paper for the horizontal panel.  I stamped the little girl in Blushing Bride and embellished her with some Dazzling Diamonds glitter, twine, candy dots and some chipboard accents from Bo Bunny:
DSCF1133
I also stamped some snowflakes in white ink, they were  from a Cosmo Cricket set as well.  Since this uses pastel colors, it’s also a perfect match for this week’s Merry Monday challenge:
I hope you’ll play along with the TSOT challenge this week…it’s always fun to see how other stampers interpret the challenge!  You can find us on Facebook as well!
When it’s hot, just sit in front of the fan!

Paper Players 256

DSCF1126

Happy Sunday, peeps!  It’s time for another Paper Players challenge and our hostess Jaydee has a fun one!

I love making square cards…I usually make mine 4 1/4” square so they still fit inside a regular envelope!  Today, my card uses the colors from Just Add Ink:
and I used a new-to-me photopolymer set called Banner Blessings as well as a retired Banner Blast set:
LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Paper Players 256 Banner Blast Banner Blessings Stampin Up

I embossed my Crumb Cake base with the Large Polka Dot EF. I stamped my sentiment in Bermuda Bay and embossed the sides of my horizontal panel with the Stripes EF.   Then I stamped the banners in the challenge colors, punching them out with the Banner punch:

DSCF1124

You can see just a wee bit of another row of solid banners peeking out from behind!  Finally, I added a faux button and some Bermuda Bay baker’s twine for some interest  .And since this uses stripes and dots, I am entering it in The Male Room’s Stripes and Spots challenge this week as well!  Hope that little bow of baker’s twine doesn’t seem too “unmasculine”!  I need several thank you cards, so I might just do a few of these!

I hope you are challenged to make a square card this week with us too…the DT has some fabulous samples!  Check them out:
This is what I’ve been doing in some of my “spare” time:

Unfortunately, it leaves THIS in its wake:

(Not including the griddle from breakfast, LOL!).  ARGHHHH!  But I do find that little "plink" sound they make when they seal strangely satisfying!  Reminds me of my mom canning on the farm when I was a little girl!   Fortunately I have this too:

Enjoy your day!

AYSI098 and SIP7

DSCF1137

Happy Saturday, peeps!  A late posting today….I was busy in the kitchen but got some stamping time in and now I am going to go relax on the patio and enjoy the sunny day!  This week, the As You See It team has another “squishy” sort of eclectic sketch that I love:

AYSIChallenge098

and the Stamp, Ink Paper group has a color challenge:
 SIP Color Challenge 7
I need lots of thank you cards coming up, and this seemed to be a good match for one for my inlaws:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Typewriter Eclectic Thanks

Boy oh boy, I had fun with this one…got to use a bunch of stampin' stuff!  My sentiment was computer-generated with a font called “mom’s typewriter”—gives it a cool retro look!  I diecut it with a banner die from the Mini Treat Bag thinlet, then trimmed it a little narrower.  The star strip was from the same thinlet, and I added some Verve diecut stars as well.  The background images are from SU’s Work of Art and My Favorite Thing’s Distressed Background Blocks.  I was lamenting the fact that I had no grungy circle stamps when it occurred to me that I have lots of circular things right on my desk….my coffee mug, Crystal Effects bottle, etc., so I inked them up and stamped them right on to my paper!  OH MY GOSH, how what a blast!  Why did I never think of this before?

DSCF1138
DSCF1136-001

My final touch was a couple of candy dots, and it will be in the mail on Monday!

And as another nod to the challenge colors, I thought I would share what I made recently (another hobby to take up my stamping time!):

LeAnne Pugliese Minion Mittens Ravelry Pattern

I am making a pair of these for each of my three nephews, plus Cassidy.  The original pattern (from Ravelry HERE) shows two different Minions, but my oldest nephew wanted his both the same, so that’s what he got!  I just thought it was so funny that my mittens matched the challenge colors, LOL! Enjoy your day and be sure to come back tomorrow for the Paper Players challenge!

Nothin’ like a brand-new set of PAINTS!  And LOOK!  Her butterfly is blue and yellow!
