HSS162 Graduation

DSCF5945-001

Happy Saturday, everyone!  Yay, we made it to the weekend!  Continuing on with my supposedly easy cards, here’s the graduation card I made for my nephew, using the Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch #162:

Now, I say “supposedly” easy cards, because I must have re-done this one four or more times…..most of it was done in MDS, and I am still learning how to print whole cards…..I am not sure if it is my printer or user error!  I finally got one done to my satisfaction!  Here ya go:

My nephew’s school colors are black, red and gray (thank you, Carol!) so I printed the background words in MDS in Basic Gray on Basic Gray cardstock, added the Alphabet Press embossed panel, then did the sentiment in MDS as well.   I love the inside….that came together in a flash:

I really enjoy layering sentiments and images….it’s very, very easy to do in MDS and they can be resized in a jiffy!  And just to brag on my nephew---he got a full ROTC scholarship to his college…an answer to prayer!  Plus he’s pretty much one of the smartest kids I know!

Hmm, I don't know which I like better, the inside or outside of this card! I have two graduation cards to make this weekend, and I just may be casing you, Leanne!

MyMyMy!! What a fan-tab-u-lous card! Really like the inside - I may have to visit you and learn how to use my MDS that's just been sitting there on my screen...I'm such a nervous-nellie with computer stuff - which is silly - I won't hit the wrong button and blow up the world - but what if I did - ackkkkkkk. Ha

Miss Cassidy is growing up so fast - wish it was warm enough here to play in the water like she is.

Anyway - loven today's card and sending congrats to your nephew

This turned out perfect for your nephew, and the colors look awesome together! (thanks for the shout-out!) Congrats to him for his amazing accomplishments!
I'm going to have to check into MDS after seeing all the incredible things you've been creating with it!
Been loving all the summer photos of Cassidy too - she entertains herself so well :)
