Paper Players Challenge 30

DSCF6198-1

Happy Sunday to you!  It’s another Paper Players challenge today, and this week my sweet friend Nance is our hostess!  She’s chosen these colors for her Color Challenge:

CC30

I am trying to improve my scrapbooking skills….they’re very basic because I just don’t do it very often!  All that space—how to fill it!?  I also don’t have a very good photo printer, and I often would like to have smaller pictures than what I can get from the photo processing sites.  But anyway, I did manage to print out a sepia photo of my DGD and thought it would be sweet with Nance’s colors:

This Springtime Vintage paper had all the challenge colors in it, so I mounted it on a piece of 8 1/2 x 11” River Rock cardstock; I added a 6x6” panel of Rose Red Patterns DP and a couple Baja Breeze Top Note panels:

Like most people, I dislike my handwriting, but did it anyway…..I added some flourishes from the pretty new set, Easter Blossoms, which also has the blossom image that’s stamped on the Top Notes.  I added a few button, lace & ribbon flourishes as well as a couple of diecut flowers from Birds & Blooms.

Now, we hope that you’ll play along with us over at the Paper Players and show us what lovely creations you can make with these colors!  Thanks for visiting today!

  • Paper:  River Rock, Rose Red, Baja Breeze, Confetti White, Springtime Vintage & Rose Red Patterns DP
  • Ink:  Baja Breeze, Rose Red
  • Acc:  Top Note & Birds & Blooms Die Cuts; Oval & Scallop Oval Punches, Neutral and Regals Buttons, Baja Breeze Seam Binding, Victoria Crochet Trim, Marker

This is just precious!! That photo of Cassidy is so captivating and you've created a fabulous scrapbook page that will be treasured through the years! I LOVE that you added your own handwriting too - that truly makes this yours and Cassidy will LOVE this when she's grown up!

Love your scrapbook page LeAnne ~ I began paper crafting with scrapbooking YEARS ago, so hard to get back in the groove since I've been carding. TFS this beautiful pic of Cassidy!

With that little cutie as inspiration, I can see a lot more scrapbook pages in your future. This one is lovely. Great photo of Cassidy.

I never would have guessed you don't scrapbook much (except for the fact that you don't share pages often!) because this is beautiful! I love the picture, and colors you paired with it. Your handwriting looks like it could be turned into a stamp too--but I know what you mean about hating your own handwriting, I'm the same way!

Well I think that if this is what your pages turn out like when you don't feel like you do a good job, oh my goodness, what will they look like when you do???? This page is fabulous and that DGD....well...I just want to pinch those adorable little cheeks.

You go grandma. Now make some more wonderful pages for Cassidy to smile for.
