TSSC350 and CQ276

DSCF7490

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  Just a quick card today…I am in the throes of a sinus thing, feeling a wee bit washed out!  The colors from the ColourQ challenge cheered me up…this inspiration photo cracked me up, actually:

and I paired it with the sketch from Technostamper:

to make a little thank-you card for a customer:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Lotus Blossom Thank You Dictionary Stampin Up

I have a 4 1/4” square card base in Crumb Cake on which I stamped the Dictionary stamp in Sahara Sand; the image is from the SAB set Lotus Blossom, stamped in Strawberry Slush and Rose Red and mounted on some SS DSP and the Best Year Ever DSP from the SAB catalog.  I just love the vintage vs. fresh look!  My sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, and I stamped a little background from A Fitting Occasion and used the Itty Bitty Framelits to cut it out:

My Chocolate Chip scallop is from the Circle Card Thinlits…that little set comes in handy, there are lots of cool dies in there!

AYSI070 Sympathy

DSCF7418

Happy Monday, everyone!  We had a soggy weekend here in PA, and I got to do a wee bit of creating!  Unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card, and I had some scraps already on my desk, so I searched for a challenge to get me started and found the As You See It challenge for this week:

070

Yikes!  But I was up for the challenge, and here is my card:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Sympathy THoughts and Prayers Stampin Up

I had the embossed hearts already done but didn’t use it for the original intent, so I made a tag from it, grunged it up a bit and popped it up on the front; I did some stamping on my background DSP (a misc. piece from My Mind’s Eye, as are the others) with the Everything Eleanor set, then made a banner with the sentiment from Thoughts and Prayers:

DSCF7417

I used shades of Crumb Cake, Old Olive and Soft Sky for my background stamping, and Basic Gray for the sentiment….I guess technically that’s four colors, hope they don’t throw me out!  I also colored some rhinestones black and placed a few strategically around the card.

Paper Players 228

DSCF7200-001

Happy Sunday, everyone!  Today is my turn to be the hostess at the Paper Players, and I’ve chosen a clean and simple challenge for us today:

When I saw these cool Adventure Bound papers in the Occasions mini catalog, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with this challenge!  Check it out:

This card is pretty big, it measures 4 1/2” x 6 1/2”, which is the size of the DSP itself!  I embossed that awesome sentiment from Adventure Awaits in White craft ink and white embossing powder, then adhered the DSP to a Smoky Slate card.….and that was it!  My CAS card was done!   The paper did all the work..love it!   I can’t wait to see what you do with this challenge!  Share your creation over at the Paper Players so we all can see it!  And check out the awesome samples of the other designers:

Merry Crittermas

DSCF7383

Happy Saturday, peeps!  Hope you’re having a great weekend so far! Thank you so much for the anniversary wishes!  We had a lovely day, did some thrift store shopping and then had a nice meal and John got the BIGGEST prime rib I have ever seen.  I wish I had a smart phone so I could share it with you.  It was humongous!!!

I have been neglectful in making my weekly Christmas cards since leaving my friends at Merry Monday, and I know I will regret it if I don’t get a headstart for the next Christmas season!  When I saw Katie’s hysterical inspiration photo for this week’s challenge, I knew I HAD to play along!  Check this out:
Just tooo cute!  I also used the Match The Sketch for this week:
and incorporated the colors from the Curtain Call challenge:

And here is my card featuring the little bunny from the retired SU set called Merry Crittermas:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Merry Monday Merry Crittermas

This is a little more involved than what I normally do for a Christmas card, but it was fun to do some painting and add a few more embellishments than I normally do!  I stamped the wee bunny on a piece of Whisper White, watercolored him in Island Indigo, Strawberry Slush, Crumb Cake and Soft Sky, then fussy cut him out and mounted him on his snowy hill:

DSCF7385

I added some Frosted Sequins from the holiday mini along with a few from my stash. My other embellishment is a bow tied with Strawberry Slush baker’s twine, using my one-hole bow technique so it doesn’t slide around!  Of course, I added some snowy glitter too!  So fun!  Thanks for visiting today, and be sure to stop back tomorrow where I am the hostess at the Paper Players!

She is just growing up tooooo fast!  Doesn’t she look like she’s about 12 here?

Happy Anniversary To Us!

DSCF7372

Happy Friday, everyone!  Today is our 16th anniversary, so I made John a card using SU’s new Moon Lake and the spotlight technique:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Moon Lake Anniversary Stampin Up

First, I diecut and embossed the edge of my Crumb Cake card, then stamped the image in Crumb Cake ink, along with some Gorgeous Grunge.  Then I stamped the image again on Whisper White cardstock in Stazon ink and watercolored it.  I punched it out with the 1 3/4” circle punch and aligned it over the first image:

DSCF7374

This reminds me of our little dinghy; we use it to get out to our sailboat when it is on its mooring….unfortunately, we didn’t sail at all last year, so it’s actually sitting in our backyard, LOL!  I added a little banner sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes, along with some Linen thread for an accent, then I adhered a cool piece of matching DSP from the Adventure Bound pack on the inside and added a sweet little sentiment from A Dozen Thoughts:

DSCF7375

I didn’t write all my lovey-dovey stuff on it yet, saving you the embarrassment!  But I am entering this in the Kraft Journal challenge 206 this week:

I actually got everything except the ribbon, glitter and snowman!!  Cool challenge!  I also used the sketch from Mary Jo’s Technostamper Monday Lunchtime sketch:

Thanks for visiting today….we will be going out to dinner later tonight, something I am looking forward to VERY much!

I am looking forward to spring, so we can take these things OUTSIDE!!!

DSCF7378

Happy Thursday, peeps!  I just loved the sunshiny, happy, delicious colors at the Stampin’ Royalty challenge this week:

and so I paired it with the Freshly Made Sketches sketch to make an encouraging card for a friend:

And here it is:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Flower Fest So You Stampin Up

I had a wee bit of trouble photographing this card for some reason; the Soft Sky panel just doesn’t seem to be true here, but hopefully you can imagine how pretty it is with Daffodil Delight and Basic Black!  I used the new Happy Hearts embossing folder with the big flower from Flower Patch.  The sentiment is one from the new Project Life set, So You, embellished with the heart from Kind and Cozy:

I added a couple of sequins for fun!  Thanks for visiting today!

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  I have a couple of quick cards for you today; both of them are inspired by cards I’ve seen on blogs or on Pinterest!  My sweet friend Nance had a wonderful card (it’s the second one in the post)  this week on her blog, which inspired me to create this card:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Paper Pumpkin Yay Stampin Up

I haven’t talked too much about my Paper Pumpkin kits, but I am growing to like them a lot!  December’s kit features shaker cards with these little pre-punched stars that have to be popped out, leaving these cool negative pieces.  I cut one into a strip, backed it with some Basic Black cardstock and created my cut-out word panel with the Little Letters dies.  The stars were diecut with a star from the Circle Card thinlit in Dazzling Diamond and Silver Glimmer paper.  And I used the Paper Pumpkin stamps from the kit for my inside:

DSCF7355

I saw this fabulous card on Pinterest from Heather Klump, and recreated it using Little Letters again, this time in Red Glimmer paper:

I had some pretty yarn that matched Soft Sky, so I used it under my letters; the hearts were stamped in Soft Sky, Real Red, Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush:

And of course, the In Color sequins were a perfect match!  Thanks for visiting today!
