Happy Thursday, everyone….we’re on the downhilll slide of the week! And brrr, it’s been a chilly one. I thought winter was over! My card today was inspired by my friend Shawn; she posted a picture on FB from Easter wearing this cute red and white polka-dotted dress….adorable! She’s adorable too! So this card is in honor of her, LOL! And around this time of the year, now that the retired lists are out, I find myself using sets and accessories that I know will soon be gone! So here we go with a bright, monochromatic birthday card:
I used the birthday sentiment from Delightful Dozen (I cannot for the life of me figure out why they’re retiring this one) and the cake from Make A Wish. I used papers from Polka Dot Parade; Stripes embossing folder; Silver Glimmer paper; the Scallop Border punch, Stitched Real Red ribbon and Dazzling Diamonds glitter….all of which are retiring! I used my Stamp-a-ma-Jig to position the sentiment along the left side of the panel, then stamped the cake, stamped it again on a scrap, cut it out and popped it up….rhinestones enhance the “flames”! Oh, and I added a little glimmer star for fun, too!
The gals at
Freshly Made Sketches never disappoint me, I can’t go the week without using their sketch:
Another card for my birthday stash!
I didn’t have Cassidy last week because I was supposed to be on jury duty, so yesterday was actually the first day I watched her this week. My friend knitted a little Nemo for me to give her for Easter:
She loved it, and made it “swim” all around the kitchen floor!
Enjoy your day!
