Can you handle…….

DSCF6027

one more Christmas card?!!  I know, everyone else is making Valentine’s cards, but I still haven’t scratched the surface of ALL the Christmas stamps I have yet to use!  I just wanted to share this last card of 2010—see, I’ve already started on my stash for next year!

DSCF6026

The santa image is a digital stamp from Digital Two for Tuesday; I sized it to fit all the way across my card; the sentiment is from Purple Onion (which I LOVE, btw!).  The cut out holly branch is from CHF and the holly stamped across the Always Artichoke panel is from Crafty Secrets….see, I am spreading that love around all my sets!   I sponged the image with More Mustard ink, leaving the trim on his suit white.  Then I added glitter, which you probably can’t see!

DSCF6025

Paper is Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke and BG’s Wassail.  Thanks for visiting today!   Cassidy and I wish you all a safe and blessed New Year’s Eve!

Snow Many Challenges

DSCF6012-1

I am pushing through my lack of mojo, so even though I am creating, I am not necessarily thrilled with my outcome!  Anyway, this card is for three challenges:

  1. Create with Connie & Mary – Snow theme
  2. Card Pattern Sketch 96 (see below)
  3. SCS WT303 – Silver

Here’s the Card Patterns sketch:

CPS96

And here’s my card:

DSCF6011-1

Still trying to get some use out of my Jolly Old St Nick set---so I thought cute Mr Snowman would be a fun way to say thanks to one of my friends for a particularly nice Christmas gift!  The embossed panel is Brushed Silver; I used Silver Encore ink on the Pacific Point DP; the snowflake is also Brushed Silver, glittered up with some Dazzling Diamonds as well as a Glimmer Brad!  The tinsel is a fun touch as well.  He even has some silver buttons!

If you have any questions, just shoot me an email!  Thanks for visiting today!  And here’s a little pouty face for you to smile at:

She’s peeking out from behind her little car seat cover---not a happy camper!

WooHoo!

Good Thursday to everyone! A little pre-New Year's horn tooting here:

FTL121

DSCF4263

Just a quick little post today with a CAS thank you card for a little Scottish lady from our church who makes me shortbread cookies every year for Christmas!  Yum!  I used the Fall-to Layout #121 from Clean & Simple Stamping:

FTL121

and a clear set from Inkadinkado (I think):

DP is from Crafty Secrets; sentiment is from SU’s Happy Moments.  TFL!

CQC65 Thank You

DSCF4258

I am still making green and brown thank you cards, as Arielle’s ColourQ challenge was similar to yesterday’s SCS colors…take a gander at THIS incredible inspiration piece:

cqc65

This is so bold and striking!  I really wanted to make a black card, but it seemed a bit too dark, so I went with some lovely BG Capella and Porcelain papers and SU’s Artistic Etchings:

CQC65_LeAnne

There’s a lot going on here---crochet flower, antique brads & trinkets, crinkly ribbon, hanging tags that say “thank you” and some little teeny bling!   I hope you will find time to play along with this striking color combo---I think a New Year’s card would be awesome in these colors!  Did you forget to send someone a Christmas card?  Send them a NY card!!!  Check out what the other designers have come up with here at the ColourQ blog!

DSCF4257

  • Stamps:  Artistic Etchings, Because I Care, French Foliage, PTI’s Mixed Messages
  • Paper:  Naturals Ivory, Old Olive, Naturals White, BG Cappella & Porcelain
  • Ink:  Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Basic Gray
  • Acc:  Nesties, Circle, Word Window, 1/16”  & Modern Label Punches, Daubers, Antique Brads, Vintage Trinkets, Seam Binding, Crochet Flower, Tiny Rhinestones, Silver Thread

And a couple more Christmas pictures:

CAS99 Thank You

DSCF4254

Today’s CAS99 challenge at SCS was a perfect opportunity to make a thank you card for my dad using a new Inkadinkado stamp set I got recently! Since he lived in a log cabin at one time, I thought he would like this image. The challenge is to use Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip, Kraft & white on your card:

DSCF4253

I stamped the image in WW, then went over the log cabin and trees with a Chocolate Chip marker. The Crumb Cake card is stamped with a CHF backgrounder stamp and the Chocolate Chip panel is stamped with French Foliage. The sentiment is from the SU Hostess set, Because I Care.

DSCF4252

I was dying to put a bow or brad or glitter on here, but just left it plain because my dad won’t care and I wanted to make it really CAS!

Hope everyone had a wonderful time with their family over the weekend---it is blowing so hard here in PA today, I feel like I should hunker down in the basement before the house blows away! Here’s a little elf who visited me on Christmas day:

CCMC130 Sympathy

DSCF4148

Unfortunately, the holiday season is no respecter of persons and I found myself in need of a sympathy card this week.  I thought the sketch from Connie & Mary was perfect:

CCMC130

and I had a chance to break out my new SU set from the upcoming mini, Easter Blossoms:

DSCF4149

The image is stamped on WW textured paper in Basic Black and colored with markers, then spritzed with my Spritzer and a Pink Pirouette marker.  I added some pearls, satin & grosgrain ribbon, and the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes is overstamped with the same image:

DSCF4149

I can’t wait to play again with this set and its other images!

I want to thank all of you who have sent me cards….I have treasured and enjoyed every one of the them!  I wish you all a wonderful Christmas---I probably won’t be posting again until next week!  May your holidays be filled with smiles!

A Big Christmas Gift

I got a WONDERFUL gift yesterday from one of my creative friends….imagine my surprise when I opened my bag and found this beauty from Beth:

DSCF4138

I have seen similar ones before, but never had the time (or patience?) to do one myself!  She got her inspiration from Connie Tumm—whose creations are quite inspiring!  Here are a few (blurry) closeups:

SWEET!  I will treasure this always!  And here are some more little treasures:

A Little Christmas Gift

DSCF4122

A quick little card today to go with a little gift I made for my granddaughter…..this is also for the Shabby Tea Room’s challenge 41– a Scandinavian Christmas – as well as the City Crafter Challenge 36, to make a vintage project.  I could have come up with TONS of those—right up my alley!  Anyway, here we go!  This is a little 4 1/4” square card from Very Vanilla and it uses a little Brenda Walton embellishment:

DSCF4121

I cut two snowflakes from the SU Snowflake #11 diecut; smooshed them into my Versamark pad, then embossed them with Iridescent Ice EP, layered them, and topped them off with an In Color Glimmer brad.  A little sentiment from Flourishes on a crimped banner and a MS-punched border finished it.  And here is the gift I made her:

DSCF4124

DSCF4125

I cut two mittens each from felt and some Lugana fabric with my Nestie mitten die and sewed them together.  They actually could hold a little candy cane or sprig of greenery---maybe when she’s a little older!

CPS95

DSCF4099

I have two cards today, both winter birthdays, both use the same Card Patterns Sketch 95:

Print

The first is a masculine card; it uses a new SU set from the Occasions Mini called Plane & Simple, although other than the main compass image, you can’t see much of the other images!  Here you go:

DSCF4095

I used Bravo Burgundy cardstock with some Figgy and Basics Kraft  BG papers.  I used two different sizes of Labels Four Nesties for my main image, as well as using the Small Star and Word Window punch for my embellishments.  The images are stamped in Chocolate Chip and Bravo Burgundy ink.

DSCF4096

My next one is more feminine and fun; I used a really cute Mo Manning image; this little snowman seems to be very popular, as I’ve seen him around in several places!

DSCF4097

I printed him on SU’s Shimmery White paper, which I have discovered works very well with Copics!  I did forget to add some glitter to his snow, so I’ll do that before I send this out!  The papers are from a kit that I won a while back at Taylored Expressions; the tinsel is some I picked up at a little shop nearby; I adhered some of the snowflake punchouts from the MS punch to the upper left side and added some itty bitty rhinestones for some shine.  I also had a glittered snowflake punchout from another project so I stuck that on there as well!  Here’s the inside, which uses a sentiment from Whippersnapper’s Winter Schminter:

DSCF4100

If you have any questions, just email me!  And thanks so much for visiting today!  The countdown to Christmas is on, so who knows how much stamping/posting any of us will be able to accomplish in the next few days!  I am almost done….just a few last minute things to do!  How about you?
