Gnomie Halloween

Happy Monday!!  My card today was so fun to create, and it was a CASE of this card by Denita Wright-Smee, and I fell in love with it!  So here we go:

I wasn't going to get the Gnome for the Holidays set, but it seemed like a cute set to color in so I did, and I'm glad!  I colored this wee little gnome with some Halloween colors and added a tiny pumpkin from the Trio of Tags die, backed with some golden glimmer paper!  I wanted to add a little more depth to the Woodland embossing, so after embossing a piece of Basic Black with my folder, I sponged on some Craft White ink, highlighting the trees.  I added a little path with some Smoky Slate cardstock, cut with the hill die from In the Woods and stamped the circles and shadow from Life is Beautiful:

I added a crescent moon from the same gold glimmer paper:

And I added the second pumpkin to the top of one of the tags from Tags Tags Tags for the inside sentiment, along with a sentiment from Banner Year:

This card makes me smile, and I had fun making it!  And because it's a wee bit spooky, I am squeaking it in to the Hand Stamped Sentiments challenge:

Thanks for visiting today!

The family went to Hershey Park this weekend--the Sweetest Place on Earth! Cassidy took her karate  friend Avery, who is a daredevil and loves roller coasters!  Cassidy.....not so much, so Avery went with Wayne!  But they all had a blast!

Of course this picture cracks me up....Dana is not a fan of roller coasters either!!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

52CCT120 Tags Tags Tags

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  Phew, the sinus infection that I've had since before New Year's really got me down!  A trip to the doctors and some meds has me feeling almost human today!  I know there are some bugs going round, so if you've got one, take care and you have my sympathies!

I managed to do a wee bit of stamping last night, using the Christmas Card Throwdown sketch for January:

This is my favorite go-to sketch of all times, although this one is square, it works for any style card!  I used the Tags Tags Tags set for my card, which has been carried over and is a fun little set for several holidays!  I paired the cardinal image with some embossed kraft cardstock:

I stamped the tag in Crumb Cake, although in hindsight, I think Soft Suede would have been a better match for the cardstock; I colored in the cardinals with Real Red blends, then added a little Real Red snowflake, which is a die that comes with the Trio of Tags dies; I "tied" it on with some red baker's twine from my stash:

The kraft is embossed with the Tin Type EF, and I added a little scalloped border of Real Red above it.  Since I already had my stamp set out, I inked up a different tag with Pretty Peacock to make a second card; this one uses the new Best Dressed DSP; it doesn't have to be used just for girly cards!!

This time, I diecut two snowflakes from Purple Posy cardstock and embellished all three elements with rhinestones....I colored the snowflake ones with some Blends!

A little Mint Macaron ribbon was all the accent I needed!  So happy you could pop in today!

Tags Tags Tags for Christmas

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  No challenges today, just some samples I made recently using another fun new set from the upcoming Holiday catalog called Tags Tags Tags!!  Talk about cutting your crafting time -- with this bundle you can stamp three holiday tags at one time, then cut them all out at one time!  What a fabulous idea!  Now, I usually don't make fancy tags for my Christmas gifts because they just get chucked in the trash, LOL!  BUT these tags are so cute, they make great embellishments for cards!!  Plus there are little extra dies to make them even more special!  I created a "package" with a piece of Pool Party cardstock I already had diecut and didn't use; I stamped it with a flower from Shine Bright, then added "ribbon" from some little DSP scraps I had left over from yesterday's project:

I added some narrow strips of Real Red cardstock to imitate ribbon, and a diecut bow from the Cup of Cheer dies, a little snowflake and a rhinestone that I colored red with a Real Red blend:

I used the second die for a simple 4 1/4" square card, simply adding it on top of a piece of Wrapped in Plaid DSP and adding some Call Me Clover Grosgrain ribbon:

Easy and cute!

Thanks for visiting today!

One last shot from Turkey Hill:
