Merry Monday 102

Happy Monday, peeps!  How was your weekend?  I am suffering from a wee bit of a cold or allergies…so I had a sniffly weekend to go along with lots of rain!  But I was not deterred from making a Christmas card for this week’s Merry Monday challenge, which is to use or make mistletoe:

I only have a couple of mistletoe stamps, so I went to my stash of vintage Christmas postcard digital images and came up with this one from Crafty Secrets of a little girl whispering in a mistletoe-and-holly-clad Santa’s ear:

The image was pretty colorful, and I don’t usually use this many colors on a card, but I embraced them, LOL! All the papers are digital, also from CS, and  I did stamp a PTI mistletoe image in Versamark on the green panel and dabbed on some green chalk to give it a subtle look:

I added a SU sentiment from Bells & Boughs, a little twill ribbon and a button.  I used the sketch from Lesley’s Challenge #3

I hope you’ll stop by the Merry Monday blog to see the other wonderful mistletoe creations, and to share yours as well!  Hope to see you there!

I was working on some projects for an upcoming class, and Cassidy wanted to make a card too!  Here she is cutting out some flowers with the Big Shot, and she knows exactly what to do:

A pretty spring creation, don’t you think!! Enjoy your day!

Paper Players 189

DSCF1782

Happy Sunday, everyone!  Nance is our sweet hostess for the Paper Players today, and she has a fun Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for us all today!  What will you choose?

I chose to challenge myself and use the middle horizontal row, making a card shaped like an Easter egg:

I hand-drew an egg shape template,  and cut it out on a folded piece of Whisper White cardstock, leaving a fold at the top, then cut another single one from the Daffodil Delight Polka Dot Parade and adhered it on top.  I stamped the three little bunnies from the retired set, Ears to You, in pastel shades and popped them up on a piece of Whisper White.  I stamped a sentiment from Delightful Dozen and added some little pearl-embellished flowers.

My final embellishment was a big fluffy Soft Sky seam binding bow!

I just love these colors together!  And I can’t wait to see what your tic-tac-toe creation will look like….share it with us at the Paper Players, and be sure to check out the awesome samples the other team members made as well:

PPA197 & CCMC296

DSCF1760

Yay, it’s Friday!  I am happy to have the weekend to look forward to!  Today’s card is for the Pals Paper Arts sketch from the talented Nicole:

as well as the intriguing color combo from Create with Connie & Mary:

One of my downline let me borrow her On Film Framelits, so I paired it with Around the World and  Petite Pairs to make a little friendship card, after seeing Ginger's beautiful card here:

I stamped my own DP with the camera images from Around the World, then I added a little “lens” on the diecut camera with the silver foil paper:

I added the sentiment on the inside with another little scallop of the foil, too:

This was an interesting color scheme as well as a fun sketch…hope you like it!

What starts out as an innocent coloring session:

turns into a case of blue hands…on paper as well as skin!

She likes it when I trace around her hands…but now she knows we have to do it with a PENCIL!  And I also see some on the floor…Magic Eraser to the rescue!  Enjoy your day!

HSS182 Sympathy

DSCF1644

Believe it or not, I needed three sympathy cards yesterday!  I used the Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch for two of them:

I used a piece of Quatrefancy Specialty DP for the main panel; Betsy Blossoms and Petite Pairs for the stamped pieces, and diecuts from Beautiful Wings for my embellishment:

And here’s the inside; I inked the flower in Pool Party, stamped it once on my scrap, then again on the inside, stamping the sentiment in Island Indigo over top:

I like how it ties it all together!

For my second one, I used some MME papers, a retired Cornish Heritage Farm Bible verse and the flowers and swirl from Everything Eleanor:

After stamping the flowers in Primrose Petals, I cut apart some of the petals, sponged everything and popped up the top layer:

My sentiment was stamped in Basic Gray and cut out with an Apothecary Accent die.  I am also submitting this to the Anything Goes Challenge at Word Art Wednesday!   Thanks for visiting today!

More play-doh fun!  I think this was a plate of “mashed potatoes” for Grampy!

Enjoy your day!
