CAS Bee
I spent waaaaay too long making this simple bee card….wonder why that happens sometimes? Anyway, I just quit fooling with it and finished it up; it’s for the Kraft Journal clean and simple challenge #173 and well as the CASology cue card #73 of bee:
I used several different images (email me if you have questions about which ones!), stamped them on Crumb Cake and since I did about four attempts before being satisfied with what I had, I cut it into a smaller panel and mounted it on a Baked Brown Sugar base. The bee was stamped on white cardstock, colored with Blendabilities and I sparkled up his wings a bit with Dazzling Diamonds glitter:
Have a fabulous day!
Cassidy decided to “help” me in the flower bed; it does need help, but not necessarily this type!
A trip to the hose was necessary!

Colour Me…! 22
Happy Wednesday, everyone! Today is my last guest designer appearance at the Colour Me…! challenge, and I must say, I truly enjoyed all the challenges! The design team is as sweet as can be, too! Thank you, ladies, for the opportunity! And here is the final challenge for May:
My first thought was to do something fall-ish, but I changed course after perusing my stamp sets and thought a little zoo-ish birthday card would fit the colors perfectly:
I used the Hardwood stamp for my background and Zoo Babies for the images, adding a couple of little DP banners here and there. I used a candy dot and a Button diecut (which is on the Weekly Special List this week!) to add a little more interest. And since Endless Birthday Wishes was still sitting on my desk, and since it is SO versatile, I used it again! The clear polymer makes it so easy to line up! I also used it for the inside:
Now, I hope you have a great day, and hope you’ll play along with these fun colors at the Colour Me…! blog! And be sure to check out what the other designers have created while you’re there!
Picnic time!

ColourQ 243
Hi peeps! Ahh, it feels like Monday, doesn’t it….those wonderful long weekends are great! But it IS Tuesday and Arielle has a fresh spring palette for us today, a little challenging, but that’s what it’s all about, right:
I pulled out some floral images and did some collage stamping, really simple, really:
I am usually cautious with my retired colors of cardstock, but I have almost a full pack of Orchid Opulence, so I used it for my mat, embossing it with the Decorative Dots EF that will be available in the upcoming catalog! The sentiment is a combination of Papertrey and SU’s Endless Birthday Wishes, which I am hooked on! Such a fun little set! In fact, I was playing around with them earlier and stamped this, which fit perfectly for the inside of my card:
And the sketch is from RetroSketches:
I did flip the embellishment as it fit betteron the other side! I hope you’ll play along with us….I am always amazed at the creativity our stampers share! They inspire me!
A little fun in the park:

Merry Monday 110
Happy Monday, everyone! Debbie has a fun challenge for us today at the Merry Monday blog:
Yum, don’t those cupcakes look good? I went for some traditional food on my little notecard:
I used the Pals Paper Arts sketch:
and some images from the retired Jolly Bingo Bits (but it is still available on My Digital Studio!!):
I used some designer paper from the holiday mini catalog, and my sentiments are from Endless Wishes; here’s the inside:
Fun and easy! Now, what Christmas food will you use to put on your Christmas card this week? Be sure to check out all the fun samples at the Merry Monday blog!
Some snuggle time with Mommy!
Enjoy your day!

Paper Players 197
Hi everyone! Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend! Today, it’s my turn to be the hostess at the Paper Players, and I have a sketch for you! I hope you will play along with us and share your creation made with my sketch! Here it is:
I used a couple current stamp sets, a retiring stamp set and some new papers for my Father’s Day card today!
I used some papers from the new Moonlight pad; the label image is from Everything Eleanor, stamped in Lost Lagoon (stamped off once); the stamp is from Postage Due, also stamped in Lost Lagoon; and the sentiment is from the retiring Delightful Dozen, stamped in Basic Gray. I filled in the lettering with a Smoky Slate marker:
I used some Lost Lagoon stitched ribbon as an embellishment, along with a couple of candy dots. This was a fun, easy card and I hope my dad likes it!! Be sure to check out what the other designers came up with:
- Ann
- Anne Marie
- Jaydee
- Nance – on break this week
- Sandy
Cassidy figured out how to turn on the hose and wasted no time in playing with the water:
Needless to say, she was soaking wet!!!

Quick FMS137
Happy Saturday, peeps! Just popping in for a quick little card today using the Freshly Made Sketches sketch from this week, and trying to show some love to some DP that will soon be retiring! First, the sketch from Jen:
And here’s my jiffy card:
I couldn’t wait to get this vintage-looking Soho Subway paper and I haven’t used it for a long time! I am always in need of masculine birthday cards, so I thought this would fit the bill. The sentiment is from Label Love, and although it’s hard to see, I used the zigzag from Work of Art on the circular element. I also used some of the new thicker baker’s twine in Baked Brown Sugar…it’s a great product if you are looking for a “natural” look! I also added a wee bit of additional grunge on the papers with Gorgeous Grunge!
I’ll take a couple seconds to show off DH, as he was in our little local Memorial Day parade this morning:
It was a beautiful day and a perfect way to remember those who served our country! And any time I can listen to a bagpiper is a good time for me!
Be sure to come back tomorrow where I’ll be the hostess for the Paper Players!

Two Squares and ATC38
Happy Friday, peeps! The end of the work week and a holiday ahead for us Americans! I am sharing a couple of 4 1/4” square cards today…these are a fun little change from the standard A2 size! The first one uses a new In Color, Lost Lagoon, and I think it looks great with Soft Sky and Pistachio Pudding:
I stamped the flowers from Summer Silhouettes in Lost Lagoon; one was “full-strength” and the second was stamped again without reinking. I also stamped the gingham panel (from the Gingham wheel that I unmounted from the wheel and added to cling mount to make it into a stamp) in Soft Sky and added some Soft Sky seam binding. The sentiment on the front is from Something to Say and on the inside, a fun little sentiment from Num Num:
My second card used a scrap of DP I had laying on my desk and the new Endless Birthday Wishes stamp along with the new File Tabs Edgelits.
I wasn’t sure what I would use these File Tabs for, but the “celebrate” sentiment fit on the tab perfectly:
I stamped the rest of the sentiment on a Chalk Talk diecut in Real Red and Pacific Point, and added some stars, glittered up as I did on the hearts from this post:
Since my diecut goes off the side of the card, I am entering this in the Addicted to CAS challenge 38, “Off the Edge”!
A little pudding enjoyment:
And our baby robins have hatched! Not too attractive, but here they are:
Hopefully, they’ll be opening their eyes soon and mama will be busy feeding them!
Enjoy your day!
