Fun in the Sun

Happy Tuesday, all!  We are gearing up for the heat here in SE PA, and I know it has been hot, hot, hot across the pond as well!  Looking forward to spending some time on the boat soon! And what could be better than a summery card using some bright colors and a fun sketch!  The colors are from Inspire.Create, and the sketch is from Sunday Stamps:

I pulled out an older surfboard stamp as well as some new Online Exclusive stamps for my card today:

I stamped the surfboards (they look like rockets to me, LOL!) on some pink and yellow DSP and fussy-cut them out and mounted them on a panel embossed with the Seaside embossing folder.  I rather liked the backside of the embossed piece, so I used that!  I added a sentiment from Splash & Relax, as well as  some shells and starfish from Rolling Waves.  I found a little shell sequin from Whale of a Time--so cute!

Everything went on a Pumpkin Pie card base, and I stamped sentiments from Rolling Waves and Splash & Relax on the inside as well:

My July birthday cards are all ready to mail out, so some August birthday recipient will be getting this one!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

FMS734 Make a Splash

Happy Thursday, everyone! Happy last day of April!  I just got the upcoming Online Exclusive Splash and Relax bundle and I just had to play with it for the FMS challenge this week!  Here's their sketch:

I was intrigued by this, especially with those rounded corners.  It's such an easy thing to do if you have a corner rounder punch and yet, I forget to do it!  So here we go with my little 4 1/4" square card:

Crisp Cantaloupe was one of my favorite colors, so I was thrilled to see it return!  I did a variety of diecuts in it, plus white and black, to create my card. I added some black and white gingham and a couple of black rhinestones and iridescent sequins as embellishments!

I mounted everything on a panel of Basic White, embossed with the Seaside embossing folder.  The inside sentiments were from the same set and the Rolling Waves set.

This will go to a friend from TOPS who loves going to the beach!  And I must confess (and I would love to hear opinions of other demonstrators) that I am struggling with these new ink pads.  As you can see, the sentiment is a bit blurry.  After I stamped this, I literally took a paper towel and wiped off some of the ink from the top of pad.  I remember some of the foam pads being exceptionally juicy, but this is not quite the same.  Anyone have any tips to get better, crisp images?

Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!
