Happy Sunday, all! Jaydee is our Paper Players hostess, and she has a wonderfully happy color palette for us this week:
These just say "summer" to me, how about you? I just got some new goodies from SU and The Greetery, so I combined them for my summy card today:
This will blind you with that bold background, don't you think?! LOL! Let me start with the stamped images; I had seen so many cute things made with the Summer Happiness bundle, I just had to get it, even though I was still busy playing with my Splash and Play bundle! But there is enough difference between the two, I could justify getting them both! I stamped my images in Daffodil Delight, Pretty in Pink and Granny Apple Green, then mounted it on this gingham scalloped panel that was stenciled with Calypso Coral. The scallop and stencil are both from The Greetery; I didn't plan to make it that bright, but I forgot to "soften" my blending brush on my scrap paper first, and this is what happened! I was actually just sort of playing around with it, you know how you do when you get a new product, but other than the brightness, I thought it would work anyway!
I lightly colored in the flower with a Blender Pen and added an enamel center and some leaves; the sun has some Wink of Stella added:
And that little pop bottle has been "winked" too! The sentiment is also from The Greetery, called Laid Back Basics. I love the font! The background embossing is the Lazy Daisy folder.
Another sentiment from the set went on the inside, along with a cute little pineapple!

Just as I was convincing myself I did not need this bundle as well as I had Splash & Relax - this is your second fab card trying to change my mind!! I love the cute images and that bright picnic throw - such a fab summery card!

This happy card is amazing and so pretty with it's bright summery colors and lovely textures. I love it! Just a thought - it fits with our current challenge at Tic Tac Toe and we'd love to have you in our gallery.
It's so nice to see that you've put Summer Happiness straight to work! Nice use of the images to create a summer picnic scene. And, of course, lovely to see that embossing folder brought in as well. The flowers add a summer meadow feel to the picnic. :-)

This is such a fun card, LeAnne! Your Calypso Coral background reminds me of a picnic blanket, which is a great backdrop for your summer elements. I like the addition of the texture on the white as well. Fun use of the colors. Have a great week!
