Hi peeps! It's sweltering here in PA....but it is still summer, right?! Thankfully, Laurel has her mind on fall and she has a wonderful Inspired By challenge for us today! Here's my take on it...as soon as I saw the photo prompt, I knew I wanted to use this Spellbinder's Die of the Month from last year:
And here is her photo inspiration:
I love the rich intense colors...I think I should have done some shading on my card! Maybe I'll do another, LOL! Anyway, I started my card by using the sketch from Sketch Saturday:
I diecut the acorn cap from some Brushed Copper cardstock, and the remaining pieces from some Oliver DSP from My Mind's Eye:
The tan background, plaid mat, and banner are also from the same pad, and I embossed the tan background with the Subtle embossing folder after adhering it to a Very Vanilla card base. The final simple touch was three candy dots in the corner! I left the inside blank until I decide for what occasion to use it!
Thanks for popping in today--I hope you'll use our photo inspiration to create something fall-ish, or acorny, or whatever! Share it with us at the IB blog too!!
Our little tomboy!
Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Well that is a fabulous diecut! Love the acorn!
That is quite the die! I think you've created a perfect card for the IB challenge. I hope to play later. Have a blessed day.
It is still Summer, LeAnne - but those acorns are dropping at a record-breaking pace - so glad I don't have them in the yard anymore!
LOve the gorgeous cap on your acorn - that is a wonderful die - and CARD!!

What a pretty acorn and I like the plaid background you gave it! This is lovely. I think our little one is following in Cassidy's footsteps. She's into superheros not princesses and as she puts it...music with a good beat LOL!
