CQC333 and GDP27 Thanks

Happy Friday, peeps!  Yay, the weekend is upon us...although the weatherman is predicting some snow for us on Sunday...can you believe it?  In March, anything can happen!

I should have posted this card in all it's green-ness yesterday, but I just didn't get it done in time!  I used the colors from the ColourQ challenge as well as the "thanks" challenge from the Global Design Project, which I am embarrassed to say I have been following but haven't had a chance in which to participate!  So here are the challenges:

I won this set of stamps from Stamplorations a while back but never used them...they're called Trendy Feathers, and they seemed to be itching to be used with this challenge!

I stamped my Gumball Green cardbase with a grid stamp from Simon Says Stamp, and the sentiment is from SU's Suite Sayings.  The feathers are all stamped in the challenge colors, and I did do some additional stamping with Gorgeous Grunge and Itty Bitty Backgrounds, then added some Mossy Meadow ribbon and baker's twine.  My final addition was a wee bit of torn Always Artichoke cardstock for an organic feel.  Thanks for peeking in today!

Cassidy and I took a meal to Dana's friends who just had their baby.  Cassidy was in her glory, holding little Willem:

although when he started to cry, she was more than willing to give him back to mommy!  Her baby dolls are a little easier to manage than the real thing!

Enjoy your day!

Beautiful card. Those "patterned" leaves are wonderful.
Cassidy is such a little Mom isn't she? I guess until the crying starts;)........but even then she probably was still enamored with him - just didn't want to hold him.

Ooh, your card has such lovely texture! Those feathers are fantastic!
I remember being about that age and holding my baby cousin - I didn't ever want to let her go!!! I still remember that. There is something so intoxicating about the weight of a newborn in your arms - especially when they fall asleep...maybe next time she will have the chance to hold a sleeping babe! :)

How did I miss this great Stamplorations set? You could say I'm green with envy that I don't have it! LOL! I couldn't resist! I love the randomly stamped feathery background and that grid stamp is pretty awesome. And Cassidy looks so grown up with the baby. Hard to believe, isn't it?
