Hello everyone! I am excited about today…not only do we have a wonderful color combination from Ann, but I will be spending the day with my lovely club ladies! So fun! But let’s get to the Paper Players challenge first! Here’s the color challenge:
Oh my, these colors are SO pretty together! The gallery is full of beautiful projects using new stamp sets, so I had to be different and use a set that hasn’t seen much ink lately, Six-Sided Sampler. I DID add a little bit of new in there….the little flower from Simply Wonderful made a nice addition to my background:
I just stamped and punched my images, stamped the flowers, then added a few embellishments: a flower and heart from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, and some In Color sequins and ribbon. And then I got very brave and used my punch to punch out a couple portions of the card…..I was afraid I would ruin it, but I think it gives a little bit of interest. Here’s the bottom (I also did the top corner):
A little unexpected surprise, right?!
So what will you create with these colors? There are so many possibilities with these lovely soft shades! Be sure to share you creation at the Paper Players, and be sure to check out the designers’ creations as well:
Cassidy was uncooperative this week as far as picture-taking, so instead, I thought I would share some of the things I made during Christmas vacation!
Cassidy’s annual Christmas ornament, made from felt and sequins:
A little bunny, pattern found here:
A little owl, pattern found here (you can tell I have a big skein of this turquoise yarn, LOL!):
And some boring dishcloths and coaster, but John is actually excited about the dishcloth…it has some heft to it and he likes that! The dishcloth pattern is here and the coaster pattern is here!
I am still a newbie when it comes to knitting, but Dana and I have both gotten the bug, so we are practicing a lot! She is loom knitting, and has made some amazing things too! Thanks for indulging me!

Your Christmas projects turned out great...love that bunny! Looks like you had lots of fun making them.
The cutouts were a genius idea and totally paid off, LeAnne! I also love the little embellishments on your card - just the perfect amount. Great knitting projects!
Great knitting LeAnne, don't worry Cassidy will thank you in years to come for all those photos she will be passing down to her children.

This is one super cute card, perfect arrangement and colors. Love the bunny.
LeAnne, I love the little flower stamped to make your own DSP! The embellishments are so fun and add such pop to your card! Now, I must say, I am so impressed with your knitting! You are so talented! The little bunny and owl are adorable. I know Cassidy loved her penguin ornament, too! You have been busy! Stay warm! XX
First, your card really showcases the Six Sided Sampler wonderfully! I love your little flowers in between and the cutouts are unexpected and fun! Love it! Then, to top off that great card, you have knitting talent, too? My sisters and I knit (but they are MUCH better than I) and I am sure they will love seeing your creations as much as I did! TFS
Fabulous card LeAnne and equally fabulous knitting projects :-) wowza my friend ((hugs))
What a fun card LeAnne the colors ARE pretty! I like the sweet little flower you added. Your knitted projects are fabulous! Something I've always thought I might try but never have.
What a work of art Leanne! the cut outs are GENIUS!
OH my, so much crafty goodness in one post! First, your card is fabulous. That stamp set hasn't seen enough ink in my studio either and I LOVE your unexpected use of the hexagon punch--genius! Second, your knitting projects are the BOMB! That little bunny steals my heart and the colors on the coaster and dishcloth are gorgeous! Wish I could knit with you!! ((Hugs))
I love the unexpected punch outs on your card-very creative! My six-sided sampler hasn't much ink either, I'm afraid...you have inspired me to pull it out with your cute card!! And I LOVE the bunny!!
A great card LeAnne which really makes the most of a set that is under-utilised on my shelf too! I love the little cutouts - a brave move that totally paid off. I love the knitted owl more though - ADORABLE!! Your knitting is really coming on well - looking forward to seeing more of your creations!
OK. I am in love with this card and feel really bad that I gave this set away because I could never find anything to do with it. You rocked it. HOWEVER, your little knitted critters stole my heart! :-)
hugs

What a gorgeous card to showcase both this stamp set and the colors. I rarely use that stamp set because I never know what to do with it. You have inspired me, yet again! How adorable are your knitting projects?! That little bunny..gah! SO cute! :)
