Hello everyone! I am excited about today…not only do we have a wonderful color combination from Ann, but I will be spending the day with my lovely club ladies! So fun! But let’s get to the Paper Players challenge first! Here’s the color challenge:
Oh my, these colors are SO pretty together! The gallery is full of beautiful projects using new stamp sets, so I had to be different and use a set that hasn’t seen much ink lately, Six-Sided Sampler. I DID add a little bit of new in there….the little flower from Simply Wonderful made a nice addition to my background:
I just stamped and punched my images, stamped the flowers, then added a few embellishments: a flower and heart from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack, and some In Color sequins and ribbon. And then I got very brave and used my punch to punch out a couple portions of the card…..I was afraid I would ruin it, but I think it gives a little bit of interest. Here’s the bottom (I also did the top corner):
A little unexpected surprise, right?!
So what will you create with these colors? There are so many possibilities with these lovely soft shades! Be sure to share you creation at the Paper Players, and be sure to check out the designers’ creations as well:
Cassidy was uncooperative this week as far as picture-taking, so instead, I thought I would share some of the things I made during Christmas vacation!
Cassidy’s annual Christmas ornament, made from felt and sequins:
A little bunny, pattern found here:
A little owl, pattern found here (you can tell I have a big skein of this turquoise yarn, LOL!):
And some boring dishcloths and coaster, but John is actually excited about the dishcloth…it has some heft to it and he likes that! The dishcloth pattern is here and the coaster pattern is here!
I am still a newbie when it comes to knitting, but Dana and I have both gotten the bug, so we are practicing a lot! She is loom knitting, and has made some amazing things too! Thanks for indulging me!
You are so crafty! My mom was a fabulous knitter too! Love the colors this week and love your card.....the perfect mix!
