Happy Mother’s Day everyone! I hope you are having a lovely weekend so far! Sandy is our hostess today with this captivating color challenge for us:
I love this photo but I have to admit that interpreting it into a card was a challenge for me! I started to go for a nature theme, but I dragged out Decorate A Daisy, which to me, never had a chance to bloom properly as SU retired it after only one year!! So I stamped it in So Saffron and Calypso Coral, then added some retired DPs and created my card:
I also used sketch #19 from a new-to-me challenge site, Match The Sketch; it’s in German, but they translate for you! Here’s the sketch:
My final addition was a little banner with the word “friend” from Fabulous Phrases and a little ladybug from the retired Itty Bitties:
I punched it with the Banner punch that is being carried over from the SAB catalog! Yippee! Now check out what the other designers have created with these colors, and be sure to play along with us too!
More tormenting of poor Grampy:
Enjoy your day!

Oh LeAnne, this is like summertime lemonade on a card! So fresh and citrus-y and what a cool sketch! Will have to check out the challenge. Love the pix of Cassidy and Grampy; the last one is priceless--what a smile! ((hugs))
Ahh poor Grandpa! I do think they are both having a great time.
Pretty card I love the big flower.
Cute card LeAnne, love the tiny lady bug and gingham flower center!! Grampy is a good sport!! You need the MFT dandelion set for Cassidy & Grampy!!
I love how you interpreted my colors LeAnne! Your card is so bright and happy, and you've always got that "little bit of country" goin' on! I agree with Nance, that last picture of Cassidy is too adorable for words!
Hi LeAnn, Thanks for playing with our Match the Sketch Challenge! We feel very honored that you took part in this weeks challenge as we follow your blog for a long time now. I love how you combined the sketch with the color challenge! Nadine
So pretty, LeAnne! I love the gingham flower center and the embossed detail. Oh my gosh, does Cassidy look all grown up, or what? Love her expressions in the photos! :)
OK... so... the last photo of Cassidy and grandad had me smiling from ear to ear... now.. on to your card. I love that you put the sentiment off to the left.... I am so set in my ways as to where sentiments should be... and you always do something different and I love it. I also love the circular sentiment matched with the circular daisy.... Gorgeous card
Hugs
