Colour Me…! 20

DSCF2949
Happy Wednesday, peeps!  It’s time for another Colour Me…! challenge, and this was a perfect one for me to start on my Father’s Day cards:

These striking colors shouted “nautical” to me, so I pulled out some retired stuff and went to work:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Colour Me20 Stampin Up Nursery Necessities

I inked up the Chevron embossing folder with Crushed Curry ink before running it through the Big Shot to get the chevron background; the rest was just stamping, punching, diecutting and snipping!  I also used the Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Sketch:

I hope you’ll play along with us this week and be sure to check out what all the fabulous designers at Colour Me…! have come up with!

This is a gorgeous card! I didn't know you could get such crisp color from using the embossing folder to color. I'm going to have to try that!

Your nautical card is awesome, LeAnne! I love the inked embossing folder for your background and your fussy cutting is perfect! Congratulations on being the guest designer at Colour Me!
Your muddy footprints are so fun! I know Cassidy had a blast playing in that squishy mud! XX

This card has so many sweet little details, but I'm mostly impressed by that inked and embossed background! I usually end up with a smeary mess when I attempt it - yours is perfect! You PRO :)
