PP632 The Fresh Sights of Spring

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Spring just doesn't really want to make an appearance around here in southeast PA---it is playing hide-and-go-seek with us; nice one day, cold the next!  But hopefully Ann's pretty Paper Players clean-and-simple challenge this week will let us celebrate spring regardless of the temps!

I love the colors that are in the prompt too--very spring-like---so I went with them along with the sketch from FMS:

And here we go:

These cute little tulips were created with a die from Concord & 9th; I used Daffodil Delight, Highland Heather, So Saffron and Granny Apple Green cardstocks for them, then mounted them on Basic White diecut circles.  The bottom panels are Fresh Freesia DSP and cardstock, diecut with the Stitched Rectangle dies:

The sentiment is an oldie from Technique Tuesday called Beauty of Spring; to keep the card simple but to add some interest, I diecut a frame with Stitched With Whimsy and added some sequins:

Now, what clean-and-simple creation will you share with us this week?!  Get some inspiration from the Design Team over at the Paper Players blog, then share them with us!  Can't wait to see them!

My spring bulbs are always late blooming; my neighbors' yards are already full of daffodils and mine are still just little green shoots!  This little patch of mini daffodils...Michele, are they jonquils?....popped up suddently and surprised me a day or so ago:

I love how the late afternoon sun peeks through their petals!

Thanks so much for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

It's a Girl!

Happy Saturday, peeps!  I have a fun little card for you today, it's in anticipation of a new wee one due to be born very soon in John's family!  I incorporated the CAS on Sunday challenge of tags (hope it's CAS enough) and the Festive Friday challenge of International Children's Book Day:

I found some sweet Graphic 45 paper I've been "hoarding"  and combined a few papers for my square card that features alphabet letters, patterned paper and children for my card:

I stamped a sweet little baby and vintage carriage from Prima in Soft Suede on one tag, added a sentiment and pearl-embellished heart:

And a trio of alphabet dies on the second tag:

The tags were both cut using the Tailor Made Tag dies; the sentiments are from Our Daily Bread Designs; and the diecuts are all from Papertrey.  I just added a simple "congratulations" on the inside!  Thanks for popping in today!

I haven't had many pictures of Cassidy lately...she's a busy girl!  Dana & Wayne went to her school yesterday to see the seventh grade history projects.  Each group of four students created a project; Cassidy's was on the explorer Hernan Cortes, a Spanish conquistador!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Wishing you a bit of whimsical good wishes today, as well as a prayer from Saint Patrick:

Christ with me, Christ before me, Christ behind me, Christ in me,

Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ on my right, Christ on my left,

Christ where I lie, Christ where I sit, Christ where I arise, Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me,

Christ in the mouth of every one who speaks to me,  Christ in every eye that sees me,

Christ in every ear that hears me.  Salvation is of the Lord.   Salvation is of the Christ.

May your salvation, Lord, be ever with us.

AHSC516 An Easter Treat

Happy Thursday, peeps!  I have a fun Easter card for you today---it was a bit labor-intensive, but I don't mind them once in a while!  It uses the sketch from Atlantic Hearts:

And I pulled out a cute retired set called Basket Bunch to create this fun little Easter basket scene:

I stamped and diecut all the little itty bitty pieces--some bunnies, some peeps, grass, eggs and a few healthy carrots-- and assembled them on a Scalloped Contour diecut, then added a sentiment from the same set:

The background was created with stitched gingham squares that were mounted on a Mint Macaron card base; it's a wee bit larger than a standard sized card.  I added some diecuts on the inside; the Mint Macaron panel is there because I ROYALLY messed up the area under it, so I just covered it up!  I am sure I'm not the only one who's ever done this, but this was a really BIG one, LOL!

Anyway, I had an extra little chocolate bunny, so I stuck him in there too!  Thanks for popping by today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

TSOT597 Regency Park Birthday

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  We're holding on to our hats here in PA....the winds have been brutal over the last couple of days!  Good days to stay inside and stamp!  My card today is for a sweet lady at our church who celebrated her birthday last week, but I am just now posting it! It uses the sketch from Try Stampin On Tuesday:

So, AFTER I sent the card, I realized I didn't put the ribbon/bow at the top...but I am going to post it anyway!  I just love the colors and patterns, so here we go:

I used Regency Park and Country Gingham DSPs for all the panels; the flower is from Nature's Prints, stamped in Sweet Sorbet and sponged with Petal Pink.  I used a birthday sentiment from Best Family Ever, and created a little zigzag border for it using the Basic Border dies:

The inside sentiment is from Charming Sentiments!

I hope she liked it; she is almost blind and rarely attends church any more, but still runs her farm...with help!  She is an amazing lady!

The hostess of my evening stamp club brought these beautiful favors to everyone on Monday night:

Anyone remember those cute little egg cartons SU had several years ago?  This one was wrapped in a gorgeous piece of Hues of Happiness DSP, then decorated with ribbon, baker's twine, a gorgeous tag and butterfly.  And not only did we get a sweet little packet of seeds, there was CANDY inside!  Thanks, Lori!  My stamping friends are the best!

Thanks for visiting today! Enjoy your day and be blessed!

RRCB202 Anything Goes Lucky Day

Happy Tuesday, peeps! I was thrilled to be asked to be a guest designer at Retro Rubber recently! It will be fun to create with my old teammates!  And anyone who knows me, knows I love my "retro" stamps!  This week the theme is Anything Goes!  Yippee!!

Since we're so close to St Patrick's Day, I thought I would pull out my trusty Gift Givers stamp set from 2011 and ink up this little leprechaun!  Here we go:

I stamped him in Memento ink and colored him in with Blends, then diecut him out, along with Garden Green and Gold Glimmer paper circular mats:

I adhered a piece of Garden Green DSP to a Basic White card front, folded back the bottom corner, then popped my little lucky guy on top.  To fill in the white space, I added a little shamrock I created with a heart die and added a gold dot!  For the inside, I added a sentiment from Suite Sentiments (2017):

Loads of fun! I hope you'll play along with the Retro Rubber challenge this week...you just need to use stamps at least a year old, and tell us their age!  See you there!

Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!
