FMS466 Hay There

Happy Friday, peeps!  I have been neglecting making cards for occasions other than Christmas, so I took the opportunity to use the FMS sketch to make a get well card for a guy in our church.  Here's the sketch:

I love that big open panel because I was able to use some fun papers from Echo Park as well as some farm images from Papertrey:

I used my Stamparatus to stamp the cow in Memento Black and the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler, then diecut them with a Tasteful Labels die.  I added another skinny layer of Basic Black behind it, cut with the same die, just to give it a little more dimension, and added some retired Candy Dots:

On the inside, a very simple sentiment from (I think) Scrapbook.com; it doesn't have a name on it though!

Of course, I am sure everyone is sharing snow pictures!  John was in his glory, as is the first time since buying his John Deere that he has been able to plow our driveway!

I was having more fun watching the birds....look at that little "angel wing" in the snow...it wasn't made by that white-throated sparrow though, it would have been a much larger bird!

I hope you're all safe and sound!  Thanks for popping in today..enjoy it and be blessed!

TTTC094 Warm Winter Wishes

Hi stampers...I promise, this is my last post of the day, LOL!  It just happens to be Tic Tac Toe time, and Team X is up for this challenge:

Each year, I always try to make Cassidy a little felt ornament for their Christmas tree; I don't know if she likes them, but I sure love making them!  So naturally I went for the top row across:  ribbon, animal and felt.  And here we go:

My first task was to figure out an animal, and at first I was going to create a little felt fox.  But then I remembered these sweet little wooden foxes my German friend Claudia gave me a couple of years ago!  They were perfect!  I simply colored in the areas with a Bronze Blend marker and my fox was finished!  I have a pretty large stash of felt, so I pulled out some black, gray and white to create my little scene, using some oval and scalloped dies and blanket stitching them together:

I heat embossed a sentiment from a Lawn Fawn set on a piece of Real Red cardstock and diecut it, then glued it on and added a snowflake sequin, a piece of black and white gingham ribbon that I colored with a Real Red Blend, and then added a Real Red Braided Linen Trim hanger on the back:

I hope she likes it! And I hope you'll be able to play with our challenge this week!  Lots of possibilities with our grid---check out what our designers did as well at the TTT blog!  See you there!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

IB155 Balloon Celebration

Happy Thursday...again!  My second post for the day, and it's an Inspired By...our last one of 2020!  Such a pretty prompt, too:

And here's our optional sketch:

Those pretty balloons reminded me of a set I just purchased after seeing Michele's (she is my biggest enabler, doncha know?), so I had to get it inky:

I stamped my bunny on some Thick Whisper White cardstock in Stazon ink, then watercolored him in.  The image itself has only one balloon, so I stamped several more and fussy-cut them out, then hand-drew some more strings:

In hindsight, I wish I had colored the balloons more intensely because when I added some Wink of Stella to it, the colors got a little muted....but it's still pretty, I guess!  I mounted the white panel on a card base of Soft Seafoam and stamped a couple sentiments on the inside:

I just love this artist's artwork....and I am hoping maybe Santa will bring me some more this Christmas!  Now, how will you interpret our last Inspired By challenge of the year?  Remember, there's a prize to be won, so squeak in a little stamping time and you may be our winner!  Thanks for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

KCC538 CAS Birthday Pup

Hi everyone!  It's time for a new Krafty Chicks challenge!  This week Leanne is hosting a Clean and Simple challenge!

I went back to my new Rare Image stamps I got recently and picked out a cute little pup that looks like my sister's dog Daisy!  Daisy is a feisty little thing, although she has a penchant for provoking copperheads and getting bitten!  My sister's birthday is coming up, so I thought this little image and a fun sentiment from Inkadinkado worked together well:

I'd been hoarding this big gingham ribbon, so I tied it into a loose knot to accent the top, and rounded the corners at the bottom.  I punched out two hearts; one from Real Red cardstock and another smaller one, stamped in a small gingham check, and layered them below the sentiment!  I hope she likes it and I hope it will make becoming one year older a little easier, LOL!

We invite you to play along in our CAS challenge...you can see what the other designers created this week at the Krafty Chicks blog!  Thanks for popping in today...enjoy it and be blessed!

TCC146 My Favorite Card

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  The Card Concept challenge is asking us this week to share something...our favorite card of the year, our Christmas tree, or holiday decorations!  This is an easy challenge, right?!

I chose to share one of my favorite cards from 2020; I just love this little bird (and I haven't used him for a while, shame on me) and the pretty, soft colors make me happy:

You can see the original post HERE to find out what I used to create it!  And here's a little peek at my Christmas tree too!

I hope you'll share something from 2020....heaven knows we need something positive to ponder from this unprecedented year!  Thanks for popping in today---enjoy it and be blessed!

Snowmen Melt Your Heart

Happy Monday, peeps!  I have a fun little Christmas card using a really old Lizzie Anne stamp:

The Inkspirational and Little Red Wagon challenges both feature snow, and Hand Stamped Sentiments has a color challenge:

I stamped the snowmen in Misty Moonlight and colored them in with Blends, then added some glitter:

After diecutting it with the Nested Stitched Label dies, I mounted it on a Misty Moonlight cardbase which was stamped with some snowflakes from a retired SU set, and embellished it with some Old Olive ribbon and glimmer snowflakes.  Here's the inside:

I'll add it to my stash for next year!  Thanks for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

PP521 Peace Wreath

Happy Sunday, peeps, and time for our last Paper Players challenge of 2020!  Claire is our hostess and we are closing out the year with a bang!  Check out these colors:

Such an elegant combination!  For a last-minute Christmas card, this is what I came up with:

I used some of the Feels Like Frost DSP on the silver side (which is so hard to photograph), and a silver-embossed wreath, embellished with some silver and black pearls and a little gingham ribbon:

I added a diecut sentiment on a black stitched banner, and a lovely sentiment for the inside:

This uses the sketch from Fab Friday:

And here's true confession time; I actually made a different card for this challenge LAST WEEK because I looked at the wrong date on the calendar!  So here's my original card, using the FMS sketch, which obviously is over, but I thought I would share it anyway:

Same line of DSP, different pattern, different sentiment:

So I hope you'll be able to squeeze in some time to play along this week...I know it's getting down to the wire and time is tight, but if you do have some, we'd love to see what you come up with! Check out what the other team created at the Paper Players while you're there!  Thanks for popping in today -- enjoy it and be blessed!
