Happy Friday, peeps! Unfortunately, it seems when I need one sympathy card, it happens that I need at least one or two more. I was bracing myself and sure enough, the need arose. I thought the color combo at Color Hues would be lovely for a sympathy card, paired with the sketch from FMS:
And here we go:
I used two layers of Night of Navy with a Very Vanilla base; the bottom one was cut with an Ornate Layers die and the top was embossed with the Wrapped in Texture embossing folder. I stamped images from Positive Thoughts in Night of Navy ink and diecut them for my focal pieces:
I added some frayed Misty Moonlight twill ribbon as well as a blue rhinestone to add some interest. I stamped a sentiment from Comfort and Hope on the inside, along with a flower from Positive Thoughts:
My second card uses the sketch only from the Fusion Card Challenge:
For this card, I used the Peony Garden DSP and stamps from Tasteful Touches. I stamped the flower in Petal Pink and fussy-cut it, then stamped some of the foliage directly on to the cardstock. The sentiment is from Here's A Card:
I added some Silver glimmer paper leafy things, diecut with the Nature's Thoughts dies:
And added this sweet little diecut border from the Stitched Be Mine dies...it's so small, it's easily overlooked, but it makes a lovely little design!
Thank you so much for popping in today...so happy you visited!
My niece sent me pictures of Sawyer opening his birthday card...our mail has been so erratic, I sent it early and I guess he just couldn't wait! You can see it here if you want to check it out. I hope it wasn't too disappointed it was just a card!
Jameson gives brotherly advice:
Shaking it so the eyes wiggle:
And a big grin for Aunt Le! Love those kids!
Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Both cards are beautiful especially love the soft colours on the 2nd one
Two gorgeous cards, AND a darling ginger birthday boy? - what a wonderful way to start our weekend-eve!
=]
I'm sorry that you had to create sympathy cards, they are not easy to make but you did a fabulous job on yours. Love the navy & white one, the flower is beautiful.
Two lovely sympathy cards, LeAnne! I hope you won't need another for a long while! Thanks for the Sawyer smile! It looks like he loved the card!
I am sorry you needed more sympathy cards. They say things come in threes so perhaps you are done for now. Your navy and cream card couldn't be any more lovely. That butterfly is a perfect touch along with the ornate die. It really makes it classy. As for your second card, I love peach and grey together it is one of my favs for sure and this one is gorgeous as well. Love the glimmer leaves. Thanks for playing along with us at Color Hues LeAnne and that little redhead is darling too.
Navy and cream is a great colour palette for a sympathy card as well as the soft pink and grey. Such pretty cards but I'm sorry you needed them. How lovely to catch up with those handsome boys! Thanks for sharing those smiles :)

What a beautiful set of cards LeeAnn! I just love the blue and white together! That die cut is just so elegant and pairs so nicely with the leaves and the butterfly! Thanks for joining us this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
Tow pretty cards, Leanne and sure to bring comfort. Those boys are too cute and it looks like they hate socks in the winter just like Sweet P! I'm forever trying to get her to put her socks back on LOL!
Lovely cards Leanne. Wonderful details on the peach and gray card you shared over at The Fusion Card Challenge. Thanks for playing.
Lovely cards, LeAnne, even though it is a sad occasion. Your use of nave and cream is beautiful and I love the ornate die and textures that you added with the EF. The butterfly with the sweet gem is perfect to complement the sentiment.
How wonderful to see your little guy opening his card. Nice to know he is delighted and you niece kindly shared that moment with you.
Ooooo, lots of feminine prettiness here today. I love the botanical images on both cards. And the pics of your great-nephews are always so sweet. :-D
These are gorgeous! Beautiful sympathy cards! And oh that redhead ;)
