Happy Sunday, peeps! Did you remember to turn your clocks back? An extra hour is ours today---well, not really, there are still only 24 hours in a day, it's all in our minds, right? Anyway, Anne Marie is our hostess today at the Players and here's her theme:
I have a lot of nice "woods" stamps but I really want to use this little line of trees I got last year from Lawn Fawn, so I went more "trees" than "woods" for my theme! Check it out:
I had some strips of Crumb Cake in my scrap bin and this little lineup fit perfectly on one of them; I stamped them in Memento ink and used an old Copic (I forget that I have those) to color it in. I found a marvelous white gel pen at a local stamp store and I highly recommend it; it's called Acrylista and it is by Zig. I used it to fill in the snowy tree tops and add some little snow on the ground:
The DSP I used is not really my favorite pattern, it's from Warmth and Cheer from a few years back, but I am trying to use up some of my stash (we all say that, right?) and the image seemed to fit. I gave my stamped piece a Garden Green mat that had been embossed with a zig-zag stitch die to mimic the stitching on the paper. My final touch was a sentiment from Itty Bitty Christmas (I just isolated the "joy" with a marker) and some Real Red ribbon!
Our DT has created some fabulous woodsy cards--I invite you to check them all out at the Paper Players blog and share yours with us as well! We have been treated to some gorgeous creations lately, it's always fun to see what our stamping friends cook up!
I sent my friend Michele some diecut card fronts, and she promptly turned one into the CUTEST Halloween card ever and sent it to Cassidy:
Isn't that some collection of googly eyes?! Wowza!
Cassidy LOVED it....what a sweet gesture! Thanks, Michele!!♥

That little line of trees makes a great feature on your festive Christmas card LeAnne and bravo on shopping your stash, I need to be doing this more! Thanks for the gel pen tip - I’ve never managed to find a really good one, so will go hunt one of those down, i like the finish it gives on your card. You should play along with the gals at Festive Friday with this card - I think it works for green, stitching and circles from the inspiration list! Hope you are enjoying your extra hour today!
Isn’t that Halloween card just the cutest....next year’s card for me...but boy that is a lot of Google eyes...but I bet we can find more. What is that die cut? Such a sweet idea that you did making the card fronts for her.. Cute sentiment also. I have not seen that one...have you?
Your card is so you with all the "stitching". Cassidy's a lucky girl to get such a cute card. It made me laugh! Question...why is   showing up in your typing. I started noticing it all last week. Is it just at my end I wonder? I'm still trying to figure out how to get my pin it button back to the way I had it AND stopping the pin it button from being on my "next" and "previous" buttons. I wish I had IT knowledge and that I could also understand it when someone has a "tutorial" on how to fix! Have a blessed day.
What a cute card, that's a great stamp. Love how you repeated the stitching.
Hugs
Ela
Love that lil row of trees..so cute and a fun idea for the challenge!! That Halloween card is pretty fun too!
Hey!!! Thanks so much for sharing this pic of Cassidy - something told me she might like those googly eyes!!
Now, about this Christmas card: just as cute as any pine forest could be - love the snow you've added, especially the dots on the 'ground', LeAnne! MUST remember to look for that white pen... I have no luck with the Signo!
=]
Your card is adorable, LeAnne! That must be some white pen...I have to see if I can find one...because those snow covered tree tops are awesome! Love the googly eye Halloween card, too!
Such an adorable border of trees! I need to find the white gel pen you recommended because I seem to struggle with the ones I've had previously. They sure are finicky pens!
How cute are those little snow-topped trees! This is so cute! That Michele is the bee's knees, what a FUN card for Cassidy!!
Such a cute little row of sweet Christmas trees, LeAnne ... fabulous with those warm festive stripes! Michele is such a sweetie ... what a fun (and slightly spooky) card she sent! Anita :)
Such a fun card!! I love the little row of snowy trees and the fun stripes. What a cute card that Michele made too!! Love that sentiment inside!!
These little trees make me smile! Adorable card!
Such a cute card, LeAnne! I love those little trees and the fun mix of stitched details. I'm off to track down one of those white gel pens. I struggle to find a "good" one, so thanks for the recommendation. How cute is Cassidy's Halloween card, too. Gotta love googlie eyes!
