Happy Sunday, peeps! Nance is our hostess with the mostest at the Paper Players today and she has a sketch that I just LOVE! So many possibilities here:
I was able to play with Painted Harvest some more and paired it with some Painted Autumn DSP:
And yes, I snuck some more Lemon Lime Twist into my creation....although I would never think to pair it with Cajun Craze, it works!!! My mat was stamped with the Burlap background stamp on a panel of Crumb Cake. I stamped the first layer of my floral in Crumb Cake...I actually stamped it twice, turning it a wee little bit to get some extra petals. Then I stamped the top layer with Cajun Craze and the center with Crumb Cake again, then fussy-cut it out. I added the little dots on my white panel; I felt they sort of complemented the little dots on the DSP; then I added a sentiment from Jar of Love atop a burlap banner. Since the burlap is sort of see-through, I added a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock to the back to solidify it a bit:
And I really didn't intend to add the acorn, but I was just playing around with it, and when I laid it on top of my flower, it looked sort of cute, so I adhered it with some mini dimensionals!
I hope this sketch gets your imagination going and you'll play with us this week! Check out what the designers did as well:
You won't be disappointed!
Cassidy stayed with us the night of Wayne & Dana's wedding and went to church with us the next morning. As a special treat, we made pancakes, which she insisted on learning how to do! She did very well, too, learning how to heat up the griddle first, waiting until the pancake edges get dry and the bubbles start to pop, then of course, learning how to flip them!!! Grampy had to wait patiently in the background! We need a little more practice, but she wants to show Mommy how to do it now!!!

WOW LeAnne - Your stamping of the flower is right on! How did you do that? Did you use a MISTI? I just don't see how it all fits together. Even when I stamp it badly I still love it but your's is amazing! Thank goodness it is a forgiving image. The watercolor look helps a lot too.
Really beautiful card, LeAnne! I love the Cajun Craze ink with using the Painted Harvest set! I have been using it a ton! Love your Burlap background and the added piece of Burlap ribbon under your sentiment! A very lovely card! TFS and have a happy Sunday!
I love everything about your card! We are off to Disney now :-)
The colors of the sunflowers surprised me too....but it looks great
Sooooo many things to love on your card, LeAnne! Firstly, I adore your combo of Cajun Craze and Lemon Lime Twist--fresh and modern. Which is a great contrast to the rustic elements of your amazing flower and burlap elements (why don't I have that background stamp??!!). I thought this was a fabulous combo of DSP until I read that you stamped the dotted layer--genius! I coordinates perfectly. Not only a great use of the sketch but an all-round amazing card, my friend! LOVE it!
LeAnne, this is GORGEOUS!!!!!!! You made my decision to order this set today! WOW! Cajun Craze is a favorite of mine. I love the green leaves behind as a background! Everything about this card makes me SMILE! The little acorn is just perfect! I hope you have a great week, My Friend! Wish I had a few of those delicious pancakes Cassidy made! XX
Very pretty fall card, LeAnne. I love the burlap background and the Cajun Craze with the Lemon lime Twist! Surprise combo there that looks awesome! The sentiment is adorable too, one of my favorite sayings! You're training Cassidy right!
Holy guacamole is this ever beautiful LeAnne!! Love it! Sweet P loves me to make here pancakes. Send Cassidy our way!!
So beautiful, LeAnne! I love these colors, the colors of autumn, and the patterned papers are so pretty. Cassidy's pancakes look great, but it's the cute t-shirt that caught my eye!
Awesome color combo...love the Lemon Lime twist! I like the acorn on top too.
The pancake look delish!!!
Beautiful card LeAnne!
You make the best cards! Hands down! I went through the new kitchen upheaval last year at this time. My husband handmade all the cabinets so it took awhile. I had an affair going on with my Crock Pot : ).
Pretty card. Great colors for the flower, different but very nice.
Looks like Cassidy is doing a good job of learning to cook.
TFS
Ok LeAnne, you just did it!!! I've been holding on to buy this stamp set but now, after seeing this gorgeous card, my will power just left me and I'm jumping in!!!
The colors you chose are so beautiful, one of the things I love most about this set is that you can stamp this lovely flower in any color you want to fit the seasons or any occasion.
Now, let me tell you that, every time I see Cassidy she looks more beautiful than the last time, look at her so helpful, I bet those pancakes tasted just as sweet as this this little girl.
Thank you for sharing and for the "NOT SO GENTLE NUDGE" I needed one last push to get this set and you just sent me over the edge.
Hugs to you both.
Maria.
Well who would have thought that Lemon-Lime Twist would win you over - I just LOVE this colour combo that you've chosen! Nice texture with the burlap behind the sentiment and the addition of the acorn is just precious! Cassidy looks like she's doing a grand job with those pancakes - I'm coming for breakfast next time she's on duty!
Wow! This is a real stunner LeAnne!!!
You're right...that color combo works beautifully together. I like the ink colors you used on the Painted Harvest flower. I just bought that stamp set and haven't inked it up yet. Now I must! Have a great weekend!
