CAS Birthday Ice Cream

Happy Thursday, peeps!  Quick card today as we are having a big picnic tonight for our church small group! That's one thing our church does well---EAT!  And I have a card that would qualify for our own Paper Players challenge this week too...check it out:

I still have the Sweet Ice Cream bundle from last year, because it makes for a quick and easy card...just stamp, punch and adhere!  I used some Grapefruit Grove and Pumpkin Pie inks for the ice cream, and some Crumb Cake and Pecan Pie inks for the cone!  It all went on a strip of Dandy Designs DSP:

I had a stitched rectangle already cut, so I stamped my words in Calypso Coral, along with a sentiment on the inside:

This is going to a guy in my church, so I didn't put any glitter, sequins or Wink of Stella on it....other than the stamped sprinkles, his cone is PLAIN!  The sketch I used is from CAS Colours & Sketches:

Thanks for popping in today---enjoy it and be blessed!

ICC147 Floral Birthday

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  I have a pretty birthday card for you today; it uses some papers from Carta Bella called Gather at Home, and it uses the Inspire.Create sketch:

The only stamping is a birthday sentiment from Stamp Simply, and I embellished it with a floral image that I fussy-cut from a scrap of the same papers.  I embellished the circle diecut with a scallop of Pistacho Pudding as well as some enamel dots:

And here's the inside, with another Stamp Simply sentiment:

Thanks so much for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

Epic Guitar Birthday

Happy Tuesday, peeps! I have a quick card today for two challenges:  a past sketch from In(k)spire Me, which is celebrating their 12th anniversary, and the Global Design Challenge, which is looking for stripes! I chose the past sketch # 470 from IM for my sketch:

and Best Family Ever and the retired set Epic Celebration to make a birthday card for John's guitar-playing nephew!

SU's DSPs this year have a nice bold stripe, so I chose the Blueberry Bushel one and accented it with a strip of Blueberry Bushel cardstock which I embossed with a Diamondplate embossing folder! The guitar was also stamped in Blueberry Bushel and colored with Blends:

I added a couple of sentiments on the inside, and it's stamped and on its way!  Josh plays the guitar and sings in his church's praise band, so I hope he likes it!  Thanks for visiting today--enjoy it and be blessed!

FMS592 Santa's Hat

Happy Monday, peeps! Hope you had a good weekend! I am squeaking in my card by the skin of my teeth; it's for the FMS sketch as well as the Jingle Belles challenge of Santa's Hat!

I pulled out a retired SU Santa's Hat builder punch and went to work:

I punched the hat from red and white glimmer paper, then mounted it on a Stylish Shapes circle diecut and added a couple more circles of Real Red and Soft Succulent.  My horizontal piece was Evening Evergreen and the sentiment is from Impression Obsession.  Everything was mounted on a Tim Holtz Deer Knit embossed panel and I added some snowflake sequins for fun:

I found these inexpensive stamps at Goodwill a while back and they actually stamp pretty well!  I used this one for the inside:

Another card for my December stash!  Thanks for popping in today!

Our church softball league won their championship yesterday....they played from 9am to 8pm, and won all six games.  It was a looooong day!  Dana was the scorekeeper!  You can see her on the left...and well, she's the only girl, LOL!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

PP649 CAS Gingerbread Greetings

Happy Sunday, everyone!  It's time for a new Paper Players challenge!  Anne Marie is our hostess this week with a CAS challenge, and it's a fun one!  She wants to see something we can eat!

The Christmas Kickstart challenge this week happens to be gingerbread, so I decided to combine the two challenges and came up with this:

My Lawn Fawn gingerbread people were stamped on Cinnamon Cider cardstock, then colored with a Real Red blend.  The gingham piece was stamped in Real Red ink and I added a scalloped border of Shaded Spruce.  The sentiment was also stamped in Shaded Spruce:

I resisted the temptation to add any other embellishments since it is supposed to be clean-and-simple!

I hope you'll find some inspiration at the Paper Players blog to create your own "foodie" CAS creation!  Can't wait to see what you come up with!  Thanks for visiting today--enjoy your day and be blessed!

PCC526 Happiest of Birthdays

Happy Friday, peeps! Ever since I saw the Nested Essentials dies, I wanted to make a cake with the ones with the rounded edges!  Although I think they would make an awesome wedding cake, on this card today I just chose to make a regular layered birthday cake:

I used the sketch from the Papercraft Crew:

I cut three of the cake layers in Basic White cardstock and added a candle from the Charming Sentiments dies.  To make it stand out a little bit, I added a "halo" of Vellum using a circular die from the Radiating Stitches dies:

The sentiment is also from Charming Sentiments, and I added some sequins from my stash for sparkle!  The big polka dots on this Real Red DSP really makes this card pop!  Thanks for visiting today--enjoy it and be blessed!

Color & Contour Thanks

Happy Thursday, all!  I needed a thank you card and put the sketch from Global Design Project as well as the colors from the Color Throwdown to work:

I decided to use the sketchy florals from Color & Contour along with Inked Botanicals DSP:

I stamped the florals in Lost Lagoon, Pool Party, Crushed Curry and Daffodil Delight, then added some buds in Crumb Cake:

I stamped a sentiment from Timeless Arrangements in Crumb Cake and added some Linen Thread as well as some gold metallic pearls.  Everything went on a frame of Inked Botanicals, diecut with the Stitched Rectangle dies.

I added the larger flower on the inside just for fun:

Thanks so much for visiting today--enjoy it and be blessed!
