TCC140 Fanciful Leaves

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  Julie has a fabulous inspiration photo for us all this week at the Card Concept!  Check this out:

Aren't those leaves stunning?!  I was inspired by the patterns, colors and layout to create my clean and layered card today:

My leaf images are from a Stamp Market set I got last year; they feature a solid leaf and several overlays.  I stamped them in various colors, adding white gel spots, colored bars and other squiggly lines!!  It was fun!  AND I used up a ton of scraps, LOL!  I laid them out and added a faceted gem in the center as it looked a little plain:

The stamp set comes with this sentiment, and I had a chance to use some of SU's new foam sheets; I stamped and diecut the sentiment first, then diecut the sentiment again from the foam, leaving it intact,  finally adhering the sentiment on on top of the foam before pushing it out; so cool!

And on the inside, a sentiment from Beautiful Autumn; both sentiments were stamped in Misty Moonlight:

I hope you'll play along with our fun challenge....you could be inspired by anything from the photo!  Just be sure to tell us what your "style" is (there are details on the blog), and be sure to check out what the rest of the DT created as well!  Enjoy your day!

RR144 Harvest of Good Wishes

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  Time for a new Retro Rubber challenge, where we give our older stamps (at least a year!) some love!  This week it's an Anything Goes challenge!

My long-time stamping friend is relocating and getting rid of a lot of her older stamps, and I found this set called Sweet Seasons from 2004!  This little boy pulling a wagon of pumpkins was just too cute to pass up...it's a bit "old school" but I love it anyway:

I stamped him in Memento Black ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and used SU Blends to color him in!

The sentiment is from a My Creative Time set that I have had for years....maybe from 2010?  I added a few stamped and fussy-cut leaves from a past Paper Pumpkin set and mounted everything on a piece of Graphic 45 paper on which I stamped some "swirls", although they're difficult to see, to replicate the wind in the stamped image!

I hope you'll play along with our Retro Rubber "Anything Goes" challenge..just make sure your stamps are at least a year old and you tell us their approximate age!  Can't wait to see where your creative process takes you!  Thanks for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

PCC393 Meow

Hi stampers!  Today I'm sharing the card that didn't make it to my CAS Paper Players challenge!  Instead of a puppy, I used a kitten, along with the sketch from Paper Craft Crew challenge and just squeaking in the colors from the CAS Colours & Sketches challenge:

And so here we go:

I started with some Cherry Cobbler plaid from Plaid Tidings, and I used the same Paper Pal Pets set, stamping the cat in Cinnamon Cider and coloring her with Mango Melody ink, adding a little mouse and the ball of yarn:

I added a diecut "friend" from the Well Written dies, and a stitched banner behind.it.  The circular image is from Comfort and Hope; the final embellishments were some Holiday Rhinestones.  It's such a fun sketch and the colors are warm and friendly!  Thanks for popping in today!

A few pix from my garden:

And every year around this time, I begin looking for praying mantises on my holly bushes....but here's one that I didn't have to look for!  He appeared right on the side of the house:

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

PP509 Woof

Hi everyone!  It's Sunday and that means a new Paper Players challenge, and I am the hostess this week!  It's Clean and Simple week....if you need a refresher as to what CAS entails, check out the PP blog, there are guidelines there! Here's our inspiration:

Isn't that cute?  Cassidy's dad has a little corgi like the one in the photo....Chase is his name, and he's a pistol!  Anyway, my first card was not so CAS...I really think I could have done better...so I made another one, LOL!  So here's the one that made the cut:

I used the FMS sketch and the colors from Hand Stamped Sentiments:

I stamped my little pup from Close to My Heart in Cinnamon Cider on a scrap of Crumb Cake DSP left over from another project and shaded him a little bit with some Cinnamon Cider ink and a Blender Pen, then die cut him, along with his little ball:

I cut out circles from Mint Macaron gingham and Cinnamon Cider, then added my sentiment on a Stitched Nested Label:

Before adhering everything, I ran the card front through the Subtle embossing folder, then stamped a sentiment from an old Lil'Inkers on the inside:

I am sure anyone would love to receive a card with sentiment inside!  I hope you'll play along with us...there are lots of pet moms and dads out there, even pet grandparents (like me), so create something CAS and share it with us at the Paper Players blog!  Can't wait to see what you create!

Here's Cassidy with her wee little pet, Ginger--my grand-dog, LOL!

Thanks for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

Triangle Tree

Hello stamping peeps!  I have a quick little card for you today using the Stitched Triangle dies, which I really haven't had time to use as much as I have wanted to!  So many possibilities with these dies!  I thought they would make a cute Christmas tree, so that was my plan...didn't come out quite like I expected, but it was still pretty cute!  So here we go:

I cut different sized triangles from some of the Plaid Tidings papers, and one from the Shaded Spruce DSP, then layered them together to create a very tall tree!

It looked a little too plain, so there is this really cute little banner die in the set as well, so I cut some from Real Red cardstock and layered them on, then added a sentiment at the bottom and a Real Red gem at the top!

It all went on a white mat and Real Red card!  Sweet!  I am entering it in the following challenges:   CAS Christmas wants to see a tree, and Krafty Chicks wants clean and simple!

Thanks for stopping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

I just love these guys!

Have a Happy Day

Happy Friday, peeps!  It's definitely feeling like fall here in SE PA....no Indian summer, just a plummet right into cool temps!  The Spot Challenge has some fun fall colors (including my high school's colors--maroon and gold!), and the Fusion Card Challenge has an interesting sketch:

I pulled out some Crumb Cake plaid DSP from the Plaid Tidings pack, and I already had the Celebrate Sunflowers set on my desk, so this is what transpired:

I created a border panel with Merry Merlot, Bumblebee and Crumb Cake cardstocks, giving each one a different edge, and I dry embossed the CC panel, giving it a little Bronze Brushed Cardstock strip.  I adhered it over some Merry Merlot sunflowers I stamped directly on to the DSP:

I used the retired Merry Christmas dies to cut a "Happy" from Bronze cardstock and used one of the first photopolymer sets that SU came out with, Endless Birthday Wishes, to stamp the sentiments:

I had "tested" a sunflower on a scrap of DSP, so I added that piece to the inside, along with a birthday greeting from So Sentimental:

Thanks for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

TTTC82 Fall Apples

Hi peeps!  Back today with another challenge---the Tic Tac Toe challenge!  It's Team X's turn to inspire you with this grid:

Image may contain: text that says 'Tic Tac Toe Challeng No: 082 #tttc082 Trees Apples Layers Embossing Shades of Red Swirls Die Cuts Add a Sentiment Kraft tictactoechallenge.com'

I chose the center column of apples, shades of red, and a sentiment!  It gave me a chance to use some "vintage" Papertrey paper and a Lawn Fawn apple die that has never been used, I am embarrassed to admit!  So here we go:

It also uses the Fab Friday sketch:

I mounted my apple paper on a mat of Poppy Parade, and diecut my apple die with some Real Red cardstock.  I diecut another one from Whisper White and trimmed it down, and added a Kiwi Kiss leaf and colored stem:

I stamped the seeds from an apple set from PTI, as well as the sentiment (Wreath for All Seasons), then embossed the sentiment banner for fun!  And here's the inside, with a stamped apple and a sentiment from All Thinks Fabulous:

All those cute apples just make me happy---and they make me want to go eat a nice, crisp one!  I hope you're inspired by our grid this week...be sure to stop by the TTT blog and see what the designers created, then share your creation with us too! Thanks for visiting today--enjoy it and be blessed!
