ColourQ234

DSCF1640
Happy Tuesday, peeps!  Arielle has a sweet inspiration photo for us today at the ColourQ:

I wish I had hair long enough to use this comb…isn’t it pretty?  I settled for some popsicles!  Purple Onion is having a birthday challenge, and the only stamps I have from them, besides Christmas, are little seasonal ones.  So I picked out an image that I thought would look good in these colors, which sort of remind me of ice cream, and came up with this little notecard:

I stamped the base of my card with the retired Distressed Dots background stamp in Smoky Slate (instead of Going Gray!) and stamped my popsicles in the same shade, coloring each one with a blender pen and ink:

I wish you could see how cute these are IRL!  The photo doesn’t do it justice!  I added “celebrate” along the bottom of my panel, some speckles with Apricot Appeal and lavished it up with some Dazzling Diamonds glitter!  I mounted it on a diecut tag from MFT, added a MFT diecut button and some scallops from the SU Scallop Border punch.  Finally, some silver ribbon to finish it off!  And the inside, just a simple birthday greeting:

Makes me long for summer…heck, I wish spring would just get here!!  But hey!  I saw  BLUEBIRD out my window yesterday, so I know it is really on its way!!!  Yahoo!!!  So what will you create with these luscious colors?  Share your creation with us at the ColourQ challenge too!

We have a serious tea party going on here!!!

Merry Monday 101

DSCF1632
Hi everyone!  It’s Monday, Merry Monday time!  It is cold again here in PA, and it still feels like winter….perfect for my card, LOL!  Here is the challenge for you today:

Isn’t that a gorgeous inspiration?!  Wait until you see what the other designers did with this too!  Woohoo!  I went in a different direction, inking up some new CTMH stamps with a retro feel:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Merry Monday 101 Santa Stampin Christmas

I just love this little Santa and his “ho ho ho!”"….he is stamped in Real Red and I used some Authentique Christmas and MME Halloween papers for my backgrounds.  I embossed the red with a couple of different embossing folders and added some silver glimmer snowflakes for a little extra pop!  Santa has a little DD glitter on his beard, too!

And here is the inside:

Again, stamped in Real Red, punched out and backed with a scallop mat.  Simple but cute!  I sure hope you’ll play along with us…it is so fun to see what you create!

Paper Players 188

DSCF1621-001

Happy Sunday, everyone! Are you having a nice weekend?  Sandy is our lovely Paper Players  hostess today with this fun sketch:

I needed an extra-special thank you card this week, and this sketch fit the bill:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Paper Players 188 Summer Silhouettes Thank You Stampin Up -2

I used several images from Summer Silhouettes, as well as the Hardwood background stamp for my images.  The sentiments are from Another Thank You and Itty Bitty Banners; two of them are heat-embossed.  I cut off 1/2” from the front of this card, dry embossed the edge about 1 1/2” in,  and attached the ruffle trim to the other inside edge.  I used the colors from the Colour Me…! challenge #12.  Aren’t they gorgeous?

Here are some closeups of each section:

I really enjoyed playing with the circular elements on this card---I hope you’ll come play with us too!  Check out what the other designers created:
A little time spent outside last week….I see lots & lots of yardwork; she sees stick fun!

Happy Saturday, peeps!  Got a busy day planned, so this will be quick!  I am using the Freshly Made Sketches for a birthday card…here’s the sketch:
And here’s my card:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Violet Birthday Stampin

I used an older Flourishes set, stamped it in Stazon on watercolor paper and colored it with Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz and a little Old Olive:

DSCF1569

It’s been a while since I colored anything this large, I really enjoyed it.  Since the image was fairly large, I made a custom-sized card as well as an envelope to match (which I forgot to photograph!!!).  That Envelope Punch Board makes creating custom envelopes a snap!  I used some retired Wisteria Wonder DP as well as some older SAB ribbon.  Some pearls finished it off.  Thanks for stopping by today!  And be sure to stop by tomorrow for my Paper Players creation!

Coloring!!!
