PP769 CAS Brrr!

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Time for a new Paper Players challenge, and this one is from our amazing hostess Joanne!  She has a clean-and-simple theme for us:

She wants "Signs of Winter"....but specifically NOT Christmas!  Well, winter certainly is rearing its head here--snow and COLD!!!  I pulled out some stamps featuring hats and mittens and went to work:

My stamps are from W+9, stamped in Azure Afternoon.  I got my color inspiration from Color Hues:

After stamping and diecutting my winter wear, I used the sketch from Sunday Stamps to arrange them:

My embossed panel used an embossing folder from Tim Holtz, and I stamped some snow around the mittens and hat and added a cute "Brrr" sentiment from Colorado Craft:

A little Crafter's Companion stamp went on the inside. I thought I would add a birthday or get well sentiment as well, when I need a card for that occasion!

I hope that you'll play along with our challenge this week!  Remember to keep it CLEAN AND SIMPLE!  I know we want to add lots of bells and whistles, but this week, keep it all about stamps, ink and paper!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

There's a blast of cuteness from Winters past! I always loved that set, LeAnne - Tom wears a hat just like this when he's out shoveling... brrr indeed - looks like he'll wear it twice this weekend!

Super cute, LeAnne! You used these challenges to make a great card! I am not a fan of this winter weather anymore but I sure love the hat & mittens you used here! Today we really need the hat, mittens and extra layers thanks to this bitter cold & snow. I'm over winter but love your card! TFS!!

Oh, LeAnne! This sketch is perfect for showing off these warm looking hat and mittens. How I wish I had a hat like this for the cold temps today! The "BRRRRRRRRR!" sentiment is SO cute and so appropriate for the outside of the card. I LOVE this sentiment on the inside. What a great CAS card! Have a wonderful week!

I love your blue and white winter card, LeAnne! I was so tickled when we got Azure Afternoon as an SU! color, but for some reason it doesn't seem to feature in many color challenges, I don't know why. Anyway, I think your blue and white is perfect for this challenge and I love the knit texture on the Azure Afternoon cardstock. I didn't even notice the Brrrr! sentiment at first but it's perfect!

Such a great card with fun details, LeAnne! Adding the tiny snowflakes around the hat and mittens, along with the "brrrrr" sentiment is just too cute. Great job knocking out of the ball park for all three challenges! Loved seeing your card in the CH gallery, thank for playing along!

What a fabulous CAS card! Firstly, I love the combination of Azure and White - so crisp and wintery. The snowy background is great and lets the hat and mittens stand out but it's that band of textured blue that I love: it's like a big warm blanket. :-)
