FMS718 Sweets for My Sweet

Happy Thursday, peeps! I was happy to see the FMS sketch this week...lots of fun ideas for this one!

I have SO MANY pads of fun papers, it was hard to pick one from which to choose!  In the end, I chose some papers from Carta Bella called Roll With It, as well as a bit of a stripe from Authentique called Meadow! Letting the papers do all the work made for an easy-peasy card!  Here we go:

There are all sorts of fun baking & cooking-related prints in the pad, along with some scrapbook elements.  I created my layers, adding a scalloped border to the diagonal piece.  I then added the sentiment panel, which I mounted on a scalloped square of Very Vanilla, and added a little apron image from the Homemade set from Paper Sweeties:

The apron was colored with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol---a new technique for me!  It was fun!  Now this is winging its way to my friend!  Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

If you want to do that coloring technique with something other than Gamsol, baby oil works with the blending stumps too! I haven't done it in years but I don't remember there being an oily residue when I finished. Cute card, love the baking theme and the vintage feel of that cake piece : )

Oh, so cute and easy is right! My friend, who passed away in 2019, used to work with Gamsol and she loved it. I have never tried it. I'm interested in the baby oil that Christy Lynn mentioned.
