AYSI343 Punched Banners

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  The As You See It challenge from my friend Joanne is a speed challenge (keep it under 10 minutes) and she wants us to use punches!

I just got some new banner punches, and I had some scraps of Timeless Plaid that were 1" wide, so I gathered up my supplies and went to work:

I began with stamping a sentiment from the new Spring Corners on a Basic White card in Lost Lagoon ink.

Then I used the Happy Labels Pick a Punch to punch out my banners and layered them on my card. To embellish them I punched out a star using a small punch, then punched again around the opening with a larger punch to create an open star.  I added a little matte dot and it was done!

Because I had most of my supplies at hand, it only took me 4 minutes and 16 seconds to whip this up! I think this will make a great masculine birthday card!

Yesterday was a pretty momentous day for our family; a few months ago Cassidy asked Wayne if he would adopt her and he said yes! So we all went to court for the adoption proceedings and everything went well!

The little person on Cassidy's left is the judge! She even had heels on and was shorter than Cassidy!  She was very nice!

And with all the grandparents:

Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

"But when the set time had fully come, God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those under the law, that we might receive adoption to sonship.  Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, 'Abba, Father'. So you are no longer a slave, but God's child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir." Galatians 4:4-7

Hurray for Cassidy and Wayne! How wonderful! Love is that feeling of permanence, like when we are adopted by God at the time of Salvation! What a happy moment! God's blessings on all!

Your card is wonderful and gives me an idea to use that same punch, thank you very much! But the most wonderful thing is Cassidy's adoption by Wayne. Brings me to tears. Happy tears, of course! Just beautiful. I love the verse you chose also. Thanks for sharing.

What a great card, LeAnne! So quick, yet so effective. Great use of the various punches too but it's that sweet corner sentiment that's the real star. Great news for Cassidy too - it seems only yesterday that she was a tot. Thanks for joining in with us again at As You See It.
