AHSC654 50th Anniversary

Happy Monday, peeps! Hope you had a nice weekend! We went to a friends' 50th anniversary party at church on Saturday evening...it's hard to believe that I've know this couple since we were in school in the 60s and 70s!!  Anyway, I made them a card using the newest Atlantic Hearts sketch!  Here's the sketch:

I admit that slimline cards like this make me a bit nervous, so I made mine a wee bit shorter; it measures 6" x 3 1/2", and it's not really a tradtional 50th anniversary card in that I didn't use a lot of gold:

I wanted a card to reflect their love of nature and plants as well as the fact that their home and farm is rustic!  I chose some woodgrain paper for my background, then diecut and colored some florals. I just couldn't find diecut leaves that I liked, so I just stamped some directly on the background paper and I liked the subtle effect of that! I added a Crumb Cake tag with some ribbon & gold trim, then added gold pearls:

A couple of oldie stamps on the inside:

We gave them a small bottle of John's homemade wine, so they can celebrate!  Thanks for visiting today!  I hope you'll play along with our Atlantic Hearts sketch this week, so put on your thinking cap and get creative!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

A beautiful mini-slimline and I love that you stamped your favorite leaves directly on the woodgrain dsp, LeAnne! All your rustic bits of flora are wonderful! I'm betting this was really appreciated!

What a pretty anniversary card! I like that you personalized it for their likes but did sneak in a little gold for the milestone. The stamped leaves were a nice addition too. Wonderful card, LeAnne!

I love the natural look of this, LeAnne! The sentiment on the tag has the best font! Such a pretty way to wish a happy 50th anniversary!
