Happy Sunday, peeps! Joanne is our Paper Players hostess this week and she has a fun clean-and-simple challenge for us:
Oh, so many things could fit this bill, right?! Just remember to keep things clean-and-simple! So here we go:
I have lots of bee stamps, but this detailed one from Queen Bee is one of my favorites! My color palette came from the Inspired By challenge this week:
I stamped the queen bee in Versafine ink and colored her in with an aquapainter and inks and fussy cut her out. I stamped her again on a gingham Everyday Arches diecut and mounted the fussy-cut one on top:
I added a sentiment from Darcy's Designs as well as some blue sequins, and mounted it on a panel that was embossed with the Hive embossing folder. I am also entering this at the CAS on Sunday Challenge, where they are also looking for "Things for Wings"! I know a blue bee is probably a wee bit unusual, but I just love that color combo!
I hope you'll play with our Clean-and-Simple "Things that Fly" challenge too! Be sure to share your creation with us at our Paper Players blog! See you there! Thanks for popping in today; enjoy it and be blessed!

This Queen is beeutiful, LeAnne! I think she likes that yellow gingham as much as I do!
What a wonderful job you did with the aqua painter! I do love that bee and will never part with it...but, then, why don't I use it more often...lol! Have a blessed week.
Bonnie took the words right out of my mouth, LeAnne! WOW is she a beautiful Queen - I love the way you've colored her wings and the wonderful honeycomb embossing!
=]
LeAnne, this is fabulous! I love this bee stamp. I have never seen it. The flowered wings made me smile! Gingham and embossing are the perfect combo!
The Queen reigns beautifully on your CAS card! Very nicely done.
WOW, LeAnne! This is one of the most beautiful bees I have ever seen! Her wings and body are gorgeous. She looks amazing against the gingham. I love the Hive embossed background. A wonderful clean and simple card! Have a fabulous week!
That bee is a movie star - total glam! Great card!
That really is the queen bee LeAnne - so glamourous against the yellow gingham. A bee-utiful card for our CAS challenge this week!
I love this LeAnne! The hexagon pattern you've embossed with is so appealing and matches the bee image. The bee herself is a beauty and the use of that pretty arch of dsp is so pretty. What's best is the way that you've used plenty of detail yet the design remains CAS. :-)
Wowsers...this is awesome!! A layered butterfly...great choice for our "things with wings" challenge!! Thanks for joining the fun and playing along with us over at CAS on Friday!! #309

LeAnne... I have to make a bee card for a swap and I am just loving yours! It is a feast for the eyes. Love, love, love it!
Ooohhhh, her majesty's wings are spectacular! What a fabulous card, this is!
The Queen Bee is gorgeous and I too love that color combination, LeAnne! I mean, if she has flowers on her wings, they can certainly be blue. Fabulous CAS design too!
this is such a cute card. Love how you combined the challenges. Thanks so much for playing along at Inspired By!
