Happy Sunday, everyone! Ann is our Paper Players hostess this week and it's sketch week! I love sketches! I could just create and create and create the week we have a sketch challenge, LOL! In fact, I did make two cards! So here's the sketch:
It is definitely feeling like sweater weather here in PA, so I pulled out some "sweatery" embossing folders and went to work:
My inspiration came from Inspired By; they have a warm, cozy prompt this week:
I created some pine cones with Early Espresso and copper glimmer paper and mounted them on a Crumb Cake panel that was embossed with the Timber embossing folder. I added a scalloped mat of Very Vanilla and a Crumb Cake stitched ribbon trim:
I used Tangelo Twist with the Cable Knit embossing folder and Mossy Meadow with a Cozy Knit embossing folder from Fun Stamper's Journey, then created a sentiment from Choose Happy and Peaceful Season, diecut with the Labels Aglow die:
The inside was left blank for an appropriate occasion stamp! The next one is a masculine one, using Gone Fishing and some scraps of DSP I found in my stash:
I stamped and diecut the elements using Blueberry Bushel, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Gray Granite as my colors, then embellished them with some Matte dots and Stylish Stitched mats:
I heat-embosssed a birthday sentiment from Best Family Ever on a Blueberry Bushel diecut and added a diecut zigzag border as well!

Oh, yes! That sketch and the photo prompt were calling for embossing, LeAnne! You have TWO that I don't have - wait THREE if you count that sweet woodgrain! Such a cozy card!

Oh my gosh! LeAnne, you have outdone yourself. Your cards really show off how you can get two different looks with the same sketch. Being a gal who LOVES texture, your first card is as cozy as the knitted throw in my favorite chair. The fall hues are my favorites. Of course, I always love a great masculine card! Everytime I see that glorious cable knit folder in action, I feel warm and toasty! In these sumptuous colours, even more so. I really like the second card too - such a great sketch to work from.
Fabulous cards, My Friend! That cable knit embossing is so fabulous! It makes your feel like you are getting a warm hug when you look at it. Such a fantastic Fall card and the fishing card is perfect! Love how you showcased this sketch in two different styles!
What a fab pair LeAnne - the texture on the first card really makes it a standout, such a feeling of warmth and cosiness with those colours too. Love the fishing card too!
Both of your cards are outstanding LeAnne! I adore the autumn one with the embossing, it makes me feel cozy just looking at it! And the bright blue on the bd card really makes things pop and that news print paper it perfect to make it a bit distressed looking. I thought this was a great sketch too.
Both are pretty, but that embossing--so much texture!! Makes you want to curl up in a blankie!!
